its not the players, its him. 50mil in the bank for transfer yet no sign of it being spent on quality that will improve the squad now. he goes out and buys unproven talent that will make it next season at the earliest and a late trolly dash which is just covering up the cracks. that money should have been spent with fabregas and nasri is the squad but hes reluctant to do so, everyones been saying the same thing for years. its got to be said hes done well although its underachieving with what the club has at its disposal. i find it incredibly hard to understand the logic this time around, firstly the tactics suck. secondly he doesn't spend on decent replacements, thirdly hes risking not getting into the top 4 this season and wasting land sale funds on covering the clubs lack of income from not being involved in the CL should it come to that. it doesn't make sense, hes lost the plot.

the squad played 4-4-2 last night extremely pleased he switched the formation and i hope he plays the same formation against bolton to see whether our first team can handle it better than the frustrating 4-3-3

i have hope january will bring in new faces but knowing wenger he'll say everything fine. "are you going to sign anyone arsene" "nnoooaaaawwwww"

l think the causes of Arsenal current problem stemmed from the end of the invincibles era as if you look at the players they had then and the players they have now they have never really replaced those players like for like with players of a similiar quality.

wenger inherited half of them and thats exactly the problem. its incredible that club has one of the best scouting networks in world sport yet the club cannot get players signed either because they can't be bothered or they don't feel the player offers real value... apparently.

wenger should of left a season ago and become the worlds financier. we could of had pep as manager right now with fab and nasri still in the squad. anywho pressure is building from all angles now, i'm looking for forward to hearing from stan when hes next in England. he's already said out in the US Arsenals current set up relates to a shoddy one out in the US where half hearted attempts to cure problems didn't work and real investment needed to be made. january should be interesting.

its like my team Liverpool before this season we had 2 idiots owning the club and devesting instead of investing but hopefully with the new owners investment will be done on a ongoing basis but as the owners said a couple of weeks ago it will take time to catch up as we are at least 2 to 3 years behind the Manchester clubs at present.

Which members of the invincibles did he 'inherit'?

you've got to take things into account though, some of the big money signing when those two were about were a waste, a complete joke.

your in a different position to arsenal. arsenal is self-sustainable, well they try to feed us fans with that yet shoot themselves in the foot by risking throwing safety net money away when theres transfer funds available and all can be avoided. stan wont pump money into the club, hes not allowed, the board rejected the idea a long long time ago. usmanov offered 40 mil a few seasons ago interest free, pay it back when you can thing but it was rejected. theres money in the account, the club doesn't need the shareholders money.. its wenger, he wont spend. he handles transfers, wages, everything, completely gagging this club to death.

Investment is but part of the picture Den ... Liverpool of old had what Man Utd has now: a culture in which people come in, grow up with the club helped by seniors, become senior themselves and then help those coming in. All led by a strong and gifted man at the top.

This worked for Liverpool from Shankly until Souness, who essentially wrecked it. And it will keep working for Utd at least until Ferguson loses his touch (unlikely, by the look of it) or hands over to someone who doesn't have the good sense to keep things running as they now are.

If Dalgleish can keep his head together, I think Liverpool does stand a chance of restoring things behind the scenes. But the Premiership is such a different place than the old Division One was, it will be frankly astounding if the club ever regains the position it had in the 70s and 80s.

One of our major problems is we need to increase our capacity but this will never happen at Anfield so we need to build a new stadium and the sooner the better as a increased capacity and naming rights for the new stadium will bring in a big increase in financial revenues

Arsenal owners are not the same to be fair. They have not, yet, burdened the club with debt and are intent on balancing the books. It's harmful for our trophy cabinet but healthy for our future. We're probably going to be behind the elite clubs funded by petrol dollars but we can't compete with them anyway.

Yes the sooner SAF leaves Man Utd the better as he is the glue that keeps them at the top but yes us Liverpool fans have to be patient before we can return to even a bit of the old glory days but l believe with dalgleish and the current owners we have a reasonable chance of doing that and l do long for that day when we can win the premier league even just once.

But don't Arsenal still have a considerable debt from building their stadium.

the stadium debt can be paid back at a steady rate without gagging the club. the first couple of seasons into the move yes, the club was a little under it but not now, theres money available.
