Deliveroo 50% off deal stacked with 50% of fridge filler Mondays with Iceland.

I ordered 5x850gram for a total of £14.85 delivered

When it arrived they sent 5x750gram so I messaged Deliveroo and complained and they credited me £7.50 back to my account so all this chicken breast cost less than £7.50

I limit myself so that they last a long time. And recent age-related Liver and Kidney tests both came back "normal". I don't even get tipsy.

3 local mates regularly spend in pubs and home-drinking around 3 times what I do, and another, a recent divorcee, spends double what they do, but just on weekends! I have no idea how they can afford it all, and stay healthy.

Four Goodyear EfficientGrip 2 SUV tyres (& front wheel alignment) - booked in for next Tuesday.

I'm assuming you got it through Topcashback or Quidco they usually gave huge cashback deals?

I've just checked my Black Friday Nord offer and it says 78% discount for 2 years at £1.99 a month, is that the same offer, this is for Nord Standard?

Account offers from the app, maybe I've got a different tier of Nord to you, mines standard?

I'm not going to take it because I've got another year left on my current subscription so will try and let it expire and see what deal Topcashback offers me next year.

Re: What have you just bought?

I too had one year on my subscription but I didn't want to chance next year's black Friday offers. The offers on Nords site seem to be consistent. I don't know why they hike up pricing for auto renewal.

Quidco and topcashback have always been for new customers I doubt you'll get anything there.

I don't mind making a new account to get 85% cashback plus whatever offer Nord give me on top, I'd either use a new email or use the ' . ' email trick on the same email. I've got 5 days to think about taking their Black Friday offer though, which maybe the best thing as you say because the cashback takes a while to come.

However..... I just tested clicking through Topcashback and it gives me a price of £2.29 + an extra 3 months so even if the cashback didn't work it's still a good deal.

A manager in Morrisons found a pallet of NZ lamb legs at the back of a fridge. All dated today.

So the butcher was frantically marking them 50% down, where they are already marked as "half price". So £7 per kg for a whole leg and 2 leg fillets.

I noticed they had whole chilled legs of lamb, marked as Useby 26th December. 17 days in a fridge? Is that possible?

Extended my NordVPN by 27 months for £79.60, I accidently chose the Plus plan but nevermind, not sure if this was a better deal than Black Friday but was reasonable and I added another discount code to it.

Just like with my IPTV the EVERUP app pays for it all with giftcard discounts so I'm happy that it's basically FREE.

I had initially planned to let it expire and take a Topcashback deal but I will be giving parents access to it when they use the IPTV I'm setting up for them at Christmas but I can't take a TCB deal with an existing account so this was the best option.

These VPN providers aren't the nicest. Auto renewal pricing is beyond belief compared to manually doing it. I extended during black Friday at £57.31 for 24 months.

I now have 6 lines (for testing purposes) 4 are now 6 months and 2 are 12 month subs and in total I paid less than £50 for all of them

None of them are 100% stable if I used them on a device I would VPN permanently on that device or set up a VPN network with a Tomato router I have from a while ago but on my PC that is not practical so need more than 1 service to guarantee I have stream as and when I want

I needed to update a TV for my bedroom and I also didn't want to buy a top of the range Mini-Led for silly money, I also needed it to be no bigger than 40in so I ended up getting a QLED Hisense and it's perfect for it's use, I also got a compact very cheap Hisense soundbar as I just needed to improve the TV speakers.

My point being you should be fine with a Hisense in the bedroom but you have IPTV you don't need Freely.

Ninja Luxe Café Pro Series ES701UK Bean-to-Coffee machine, and a Ninja 3-in-1 Food Processor with Auto-IQ BN800UK.

I’ve been wanting to swap out our Nespresso Vertuo capsule coffee machine for a while, as Nespresso work on the same business model as Gillette razors (make the money on the capsules/blades, rather than on the coffee machine/razors).

I worked out that we were spending around £800 a year on Nespresso capsules (we got the machine half price eighteen months ago), so in less than a year we wil be spending less, with a wider choice/style of coffees (the new machine can make (among others) espressos, americanos, lattes, cappuccinos, filter, & cold brew).

Nice coffee machine. Looks nice anyway. Made the right choice ditching the Nespresso. They are not worth the costs and you don't have much proper choice in coffee either. For costs alone I find them a bit of a con.

I have the De'Longhi Primadonna Soul machine. Quite a work horse as well. Plenty of choices of what type of coffee you want from its menu. But mainly it comes down to the beans you use.

I've tried a lot, from Lavazza, Spiller & Tait etc, but I tend to always end up with 'Coffee Masters Triple Certified Arabica Coffee Beans' which are usually quite freshly roasted. But they're well balanced for my needs. I like strong coffee. You can't go wrong with them, but you can use them as a guide to your liking.

We were, then visited my son last month (who has a slightly smaller simpler bean-to-coffee machine), and really liked the coffee it made (we took him down a pack of beans from a local coffee shop who blend their own (Rand)) - it was a combination of that, ongoing costs of using our Vertuo Plus, and the fact that a lot of the bean-to-coffee machines have become more automated (much less faffing around) that motivated us to change.

Would like to see a mini review of the coffee machine if possible ? After finishing our kitchen last year and installing an inbuilt bean to cup machine her ladyship has now decided we need to move house. The ninja is one I’m potentially looking at

The Primadonna Soul was our old machine and it was very good but the delonghi app was/is terrible

First thoughts - very easy to set up, clear manual instructions and a QR code for a clear set up video, needed to set the coffee and milk froth temperatures up a notch from default as we like our coffee hotter than the Ninja standard setting (easy to do), and making a cappuccino was very easy.

Feels like a solid, well built machine.

More later as we get into it.

Totally agree, getting it connected is really hit and (mostly) miss. I've only used it a few times to set up type of beans and to set up a few defaults.

The issue with coffee not being hot enough I just rinse the cup with boiling water first for a 30 seconds.

The other thing is storing the beans. Like instant coffee, the first cup is always the best. If you don't store them right they don't last that long before they go stale. About 4-5 weeks or so.

I walked into Tesco to buy some crackers and cheese after work and ended up buying some Ray ban prescription varifocal glasses! It's been over 10 years since I had any new ones and recently got some free prescription safety glasses and eye test for work so thought why not.

Aldi cleared their shelves of Easter stuff before they reopened on Easter Monday. But today most of it is back at reduced prices. So I decided to treat myself to some choccy things.

 That is a lot of coffee. Only me that drinks coffee here, so 1kg avg 1-2 cups a day. By the end of the month I can tell it's already stale.

Do you have any recommendations of beans at all. Always open for suggestions.

Had the machine in just under a year and I think we’ve made about 2300 drinks, because we (I) drink so much coffee we just buy whatever’s cheap on Amazon

Just bought
A robotic lawnmower (for s&g)
New glasses
Added another watch or two to the collection (treat to myself for my 50th)

I buy the beans from a local coffee shop that roast beans in-house (Rand, 1Kg bags) - when we visit our son in North London, we buy a 1Kg bag of Gails House Blend whole beans.

Try buying some freshly roasted beans - it really does improve the taste.
