£20 Tesco Gift Card via Topcashback for the £2.50 cashback bonus, it's free money so why not.

Deliveroo 50% off deal stacked with 50% of fridge filler Mondays with Iceland.

I ordered 5x850gram for a total of £14.85 delivered

When it arrived they sent 5x750gram so I messaged Deliveroo and complained and they credited me £7.50 back to my account so all this chicken breast cost less than £7.50

240 cans. ;) All my pocket money is blown for a few months, but at least it wasn't on a tax demand. ;)

I limit myself so that they last a long time. And recent age-related Liver and Kidney tests both came back "normal". I don't even get tipsy.

3 local mates regularly spend in pubs and home-drinking around 3 times what I do, and another, a recent divorcee, spends double what they do, but just on weekends! I have no idea how they can afford it all, and stay healthy.

Four Goodyear EfficientGrip 2 SUV tyres (& front wheel alignment) - booked in for next Tuesday.

Current tyres were starting to perish (five and a half years old with 25k miles), and we have a couple of long drives coming up over the next four months, so better safe than sorry…

Headlight bulb for my Focus, it failed yesterday, and I have a long drive in the dark at the weekend.

Superb kit, just about indestructible … we had one that lasted us until the 3rd offspring didn’t need boosting at the table at all

Yup - my daughter has one, and her six year old still uses it.

NordVPN subscription extended using the black Friday offers in notification, email or account offers. Under £30 a year for the standard product... Bargain :D

US standard upgrades UK basic I think.

I'm assuming you got it through Topcashback or Quidco they usually gave huge cashback deals?

thenry 26-11-2025 21:28

Nord is only new customers through Quidco and topcashback :( still nothing to frown about it works out £2.38 a month :D

I've just checked my Black Friday Nord offer and it says 78% discount for 2 years at £1.99 a month, is that the same offer, this is for Nord Standard?

Account offers from the app, maybe I've got a different tier of Nord to you, mines standard?

I'm not going to take it because I've got another year left on my current subscription so will try and let it expire and see what deal Topcashback offers me next year.

thenry 27-11-2025 12:05

Re: What have you just bought?

I too had one year on my subscription but I didn't want to chance next year's black Friday offers. The offers on Nords site seem to be consistent. I don't know why they hike up pricing for auto renewal.

Quidco and topcashback have always been for new customers I doubt you'll get anything there.

I don't mind making a new account to get 85% cashback plus whatever offer Nord give me on top, I'd either use a new email or use the ' . ' email trick on the same email. I've got 5 days to think about taking their Black Friday offer though, which maybe the best thing as you say because the cashback takes a while to come.

However..... I just tested clicking through Topcashback and it gives me a price of £2.29 + an extra 3 months so even if the cashback didn't work it's still a good deal.

A replacement teapot as I dropped it this afternoon and smashed the spout to pieces. Thankfully I’ve managed to find and order an exact replacement.

On an entirely related note, a bunch of flowers for my wife.

Had to replace my kitchen tube light with an LED last summer. Ended up buying from screw fix and bought 2 to keep one as a spare cost about £20 for both. The 1 I used has been in well over a year now no issues

Re: What have you just bought?

A manager in Morrisons found a pallet of NZ lamb legs at the back of a fridge. All dated today.

So the butcher was frantically marking them 50% down, where they are already marked as "half price". So £7 per kg for a whole leg and 2 leg fillets.

I noticed they had whole chilled legs of lamb, marked as Useby 26th December. 17 days in a fridge? Is that possible?

Do you know the New Zealand stamp code? I've never brought it myself as I'm not fussed but my dad gets whole spring lamb with specific codes as they are halal, any experience with this knowledge?

Re: What have you just bought?

Extended my NordVPN by 27 months for £79.60, I accidently chose the Plus plan but nevermind, not sure if this was a better deal than Black Friday but was reasonable and I added another discount code to it.

Just like with my IPTV the EVERUP app pays for it all with giftcard discounts so I'm happy that it's basically FREE.

I had initially planned to let it expire and take a Topcashback deal but I will be giving parents access to it when they use the IPTV I'm setting up for them at Christmas but I can't take a TCB deal with an existing account so this was the best option.

thenry 16-12-2025 18:20

Re: What have you just bought?

These VPN providers aren't the nicest. Auto renewal pricing is beyond belief compared to manually doing it. I extended during black Friday at £57.31 for 24 months.
