Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4

Cheers guys. Jnr did rush his test, I wanted him to get plenty of experience before getting out there alone and I'll be putting him down for a Pass Plus course for his birthday.

His reward for passing? A £500 hike in his car insurance premium...

As for Osem Jnr # 2 yes he did very well and he'd have loved the outdoor/camping thing as he's that sort of kid. Very practical and interested to experience new things. He laughs in the face of storms, snow, ice etc. The worse it is out, the more he likes it lol.

Osem Jnr # 2 successfully completed a 14 mile hike and camp without a hiccup. He's well used to walking miles and is as fit as a butcher's dog so it was no major surprise to us but nice all the same.

Excellent well done boy's you must be so proud of your boy's Osem they really are a credit to you :)

My eldest is on holiday with his better half to Gran Canaria today just waiting for a call to say they have arrived safely & this time next week the wee one will be on his way to China and we will have the house to ourselves for 8 whole day's. I think it will be strange as we have not experienced the boy's away from home at the same time ever so for the first time in 24 years we will have the house to ourselves.

I had to laugh at my eldest this morning before he left for the airport he said he was so happy and I said so would I be if I were going on holiday and he said "no it's not just because I'm going on holiday it's also I won't see my wee brother for 4 weeks Mum"

Now that is a good piece of news nash. After all the problems you have had with this neighbour you deserve neighbours that will allow you to live happily in your own home. :tu:

Fingers crossed for you nash as our old neighbours were very troublesome and the day they left was a day well worth celebrating in our household and many others.

Enjoy the peace and quiet (and try not to worry about them too much) :tu:

Excellent news, hope you get nice new neighbours who appreciate what they've been given and are considerate of their neighbours. :tu:

Good riddance to bad rubbish that's my view on them! Fingers crossed that you never have to experience such awful neighbours again I swear when mine moves the street will have a party I know we will, maybe even be tempted to get the flags out ;) when she leaves LOL until then I can dream at least we have a interdict out on her so she really does not bother us anymore but she has started her nonsense with the guy two doors up.

Thanks Weenie , Don't think we will get anyone for a few months, they have wrecked the house , broken furniture old mattresses all torn, kitchen cupboards all broke, bundles of old dirty clothes lying everywhere. Walls covered in crayon and blobs of paint, it is unbelievable

Today is the first day of the wee one's trip of a lifetime.

Day 1.
Depart the UK to China.
KL1278 Edinburgh 11:10 Amsterdam 13:40
KL897 Amsterdam 17:40 Arrives Beijing, Friday, 17 June 08.55 local time.

I know the day's will fly by for him, whereas I can't wait till he is back home on Monday 27th June.

... and the sad likelihood is that these **** are at this moment doing the very same thing somewhere else. It's a great shame they can't be taken to an island somewhere and dumped there along with those like them.

Pretty impressive first trip, only downside is that schippol is a few miles out of Amsterdam as that's a great city in its own right, still I'm sure he'll have a great time, it's not every day you go to China where as you can pop over to Holland when ever the mood takes literally.

Glad they're gone and not creating havoc anymore, only downside is they're now somewhere else wrecking that neighbourhood. Still it's not your concern any more, you've endured your bit so let's hope you get some decent folk in
