My neighbour called me a prat yesterday for paying for cable. I told him months ago that the boxes he sells won't work soon yet they still work months after getting our new cards.
He seems to think that a new box has been made something to do with account sharing. Anyways he thinks he's got a full proof way of still stealing cable and his new box beats encryptions.
He's gonna look the prat when his full proof plan doesn't work, just a matter of time.

Your neighbour is the prat but unfortunately he is right. Even after the new encryption is in place there is a way to steal - it's called card sharing. I hope that Virgin Media will make it their next job to stop this too.

Wouldn't that mean that someone will have to agree to allow them access to their account that they pay for? Seems stupid for them to pay full price and let someone else steal from you. He said something about being able to watch what I'm watching.

One good thing about card sharing is that it leaves a log and once the server is tracked they also then have all the IP's of the people connecting.. granted the server might be abroad but there's a better chance at removing in a single stroke thousands of people off in one go than currently just hitting a person selling these boxes

just heard that manchester has bin hit with this thay have lost all movie channels and most of the normal channels what i dont get is that thay still have all the +1 channels,sports and if you have a hdtv u got the movie i was told but need proof to see if it true
