I use 1 most of the time but i pay off in full with my own money each month as it is a good thing to do for the credit rating and when purchasing items online a CC is also very good for protection.

But i do agree for the people who would not pay off a CC each month then a CC is a bad idea.

I only applied for a laugh, was shocked when they said you've been approved. As I said, it will only get used for emergencies. Not going to spend spend spend on it.

Let's hope it is sooner rather than later den.

Off to Birdlip, Gloucester tomorrow for two days for friends wedding :) although not looking forward to the 5 hour drive.

Just received my Home & Contents Insurance renewal, and the annual premium had increased by nearly 15%.

I gave them a call, and it's now less than last year's...

Always worth calling.

Us too. Using credit cards as described above makes a lot of sense and offers additional consumer protection for items valued over £100 even if you've only used the card to pay a small deposit. If you don't like the idea of owing money you can have a card with a very low credit limit to avoid serious overspending and then pay money into the account which you then use to spend when you need to. That way you never owe anything because all your spending comes from the money you've paid in and you're monthly statement will always show you in credit.
