The predicted recession should in theory encourage consolidation. I should point out that companies joining and leaving the sports market is nothing new with Setanta (2009), ESPN (2013), Eleven Sports (2019) and Boxing Channel Media t/a BoxNation (2019, brand then licensed to Premier Sports) all entering and leaving the UK market.

Against this, But we've also seen the entry of Amazon (2018) and DAZN (2020) into UK TV sports broadcasting.

The weakest sports provider in the UK now is probably DAZN. Although it's being propped up by a billionaire, I could see it eventually quitting the crowded UK market leaving two main players: Sky and WarnerBros Discovery-BT plus the two smaller players Viaplay and Amazon.

Premier Sport and FreeSport are able to show live La Liga today at 3.15pm. Means PS1 are showing four live La Liga games back-to-back.

Makes sense, neither are going anywhere good soon. Might as well get big enough someone else might buy them in distress.

Don’t forget Disney have a barrel load of money! They have WWE rights in Asia and own ESPN, too. Disney have a real shot at the sports market.

Why do Virgin Media not get commentary for all the red button matches from the Championship? Both nights this week, all the red button games were using the commentary from just one match

There is currently a fault with the Sky Sports Red Button sometimes giving the wrong audio stream. It's under investigation.

If you have the Sky Sports apps on a mobile device, you might be able to watch on there instead until it is fixed

I try to avoid red button games as I don't like the poor picture quality or the no replays

Yes you'd think in this day and age with the technology available it would be much better than it is

It's usually one commentator & 1 camera which just follows the ball !
