What has Curbishley achieved in his managerial career, 15 years of being consistantly poor with Charlton and thats about it. From what i hear West ham fans want European football and tropheys, i don't think he will bring either of them. Sven has had alot of success with club football, maybe he would have been better :erm:

(to be honest i just want him in a job before Fergie retires :) )

West Ham fans want a manager that either knows or was brought up with the best traditions of the club and that plays football the way it was meant to be played, anything else is a bonus

15 years of being consistently poor? For those who dont follow a team with an attendance and income of the likes of Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal etc etc, mid table would not be seen as being considered poor. Most pundits in the game associate Curbs with being a succesful manager based on teh resources he has had to work with. I suggest they know more about football than you do.

Want a manager that was brought up with the best traditions of the club AND plays the right way?

Curbishley is the former, but his Charlton side was always pretty direct.

Maybe i shouldn't have said 'poor' but consistantly mid-table or lower, which is what i thought West Ham didn't want. From what i have been reading West ham fans expect Curbishley to get them into Europe and high up the table in the future. I was just pointing out that Sven has been successful in doing this and might have been a better appointment to do that job. I actually hope i'm proven wrong because Curbishley is one of the few managers that i like because he very rarely moans about things such as referees decisions like Wenger, Mourinhio etc

Is you league so bad that you have to entertain yourself by looking to see how a team in another country did? ;)

You might consider following a different sport in future... ;)

LOL!

A bitter Falkirk fan? I've never heard of such a thing, in the last 4 games we've had Rangers, Celtic and Hibs succumb to the force of the Blue Army...

This is GREAT time to be a bairn.

Get it right up ye - bitter Mank!

Huh?

Did you forget about the defeats to Kilmarnock and Motherwell after the Celtic match?

You cut your cloth according to what talent you have available, especially when you have an unfashionable team that has to make do with players that other teams don't want

Not at all, but unlike most Mink U fans i don't expect us to win every game only to survive in the SPL.

Trust me - trying to pick at me by slagging Falkirk is a waste of your time right now.

i'm not sure if Sven has been good at doing that though. Sure he took Lazio to the title but only after nearly bankrupting the club and he wouldn't be allowed to do that at WHU

Not sure if Sven has ever really turned around another club, although I seem to remember he might have been at Malmo when they got to the European Cup Final but that was over 20 years ago and the game has moved on a lot since then.

It really does look like you are still having problems with who you support.

That offer of help that I gave you a few months ago, still stands you know. You follow a team called Falkirk. That is the team who should support, not any English team that's not United (or do you secretly like the English?)

Now lets get to the root of the problem...is it because you, over the last few years, feel inferior to Celtic and Rangers? You don't feel safe going "nah, nah, na na na - you lost!", as over the long run they can easily retort. So you feel safe saying it to fans of a team who do not play in your own league and it's not like you're going to meet us in Europe (unless the teams are in the same hotel for a pre-season friendly).

Overcome that nervousness.

Just ask if you need any more help.
