Warner Bros Discovery and Comcast can start talking about merger from April 2024:

Quote:

Given WBD's daunting challenges, it has become accepted wisdom at the highest levels of the industry that another deal waits in the wings for Warner Bros. Discovery. For reasons related to the complicated structure of that merger, no negotiations can happen until April 2024. But at that point, many industry observers believe that Comcast’s Brian Roberts will make a long-awaited move, looking to combine NBCUniversal and Warner Bros. Discovery.

Sky are to temporarily close some of their channels on Monday.

These include Sky Comedy, Nature, and various Cinema/Sports channels.

Those that remain open will simulcast Sky News who will be covering the Queens funeral.

Re: Changes to Virgin TV (2022)

I doubt the Sports channels and CNN would be included in any sale if it ever happened , look what happened with 21st Century Fox sale to Disney , the Fox Sports channels , FOX News and FOX US channel weren't included in the sale , Disney also had sell their stake in A+E Networks in Europe.

I was only reporting what The Hollywood Reporter is saying:

Hidden "Channel Update" slates have been noted indicating that Channel 4 HD has moved to channel 104 or to channel 108 (Wales). So the actual move to 104/108 should be taking place shortly. (104 is already used in London).

Re: Changes to Virgin TV (2022)

There was a rumour about two years ago that E! was to eventually close or go streaming only, I think it was the latter.

As Sky have just changed their EPG so that Challenge & Pick are in better positions than E!, I think the writing could be on the wall for this channel.
