Routledge had a decent chance there. Had we been playing Chelsea or City they'd have carved us right open.

It seems some are not convinced by MU's signing of Luke Shaw.

Almost an hour to go, opening game and 9 players out - nothing to be too concerned about yet. The back line is shaky though.

It was always known that the defence needs tightening. I think the fact they've kept the number 5 shirt open is an indication of at least one more player is coming in.

The thing is Russ they need two quality centre backs at least and they don't grow on trees.
