Its the same as usual with officials, not consistent enough and this is why Chelsea get away with murder.

Just feel sad for Villa, next season we will have the same crappy officials, but you complain to there management body, they always reply ' we trust our officials to the hilt and respect there decisions'

I used to be a referee and the government bodies are not worried in the least of fans say, they are just happy to get there fees - what does an official get these days for reffin a game.

Not really sure what relevance length of tenure is, we had a manager for 31 years and only five in 95 years and don't feel the need to crow about it

Its the best result in years, and this is what the greatest competition in the world is all about - the underdog.

All the bookies near me were giving Wigan no chance, but my god, even l jumped up when Wigan scored. Well done to Martinez, Whelan and the Wigan boys.

There is only one snag here - will Whelan manage to keep his great Manager.

MalteseFalcon 11-05-2013 22:57

Re: Football Season 2012/2013

Arthur is right, even if Wigan get relegated Martinez is highly likely to be in demand next season. I think Everton would be mad not to look at him, ditto anyone else looking for a new manager. Weird prediction now:

Mancini sacked from City, new manager of Madrid. Mourinho to City, and Martinez to leave Wigan and become new Chelsea manager (despite what I said about Everton lol).

I was overjoyed when I heard Wigan had scored. Nice consolation for them, as I would think it is pretty much a foregone conclusion now they are in the Championship next year. Be a shame, but I hope they bounce back straight away.

Rooney to Arsenal stories are hotting up. I can't see Arsenal paying him 200odd k BUT Arsenal are going to shift a fair bit off the current wage bill. with incoming renewals/revenue increasing the wage budget could be increased

And if they decide to change in future before 26 years, they will equally be classless? Even if the manager achieves nothing?

Benitez off to Malaga?

As for Pardew he's unsure of his job safety.

Yes, if they get rid of Moyes after two seasons without a trophy that will lack class in my eyes, but since 1970/1971 United have changed manager five times and one of those was sacked for marital wrongdoings, in that time City have changed their manager a staggering 28 times, United have a lot of catching up to do on that front.

Wenger has won more Premier League titles than Tottenham have in their entire history. And Arsenal can afford to pay Rooney. We're talking taking 2-3 deadwood players off the payroll which funds Rooneys salary.

Simply put.. close to 500m investment under Mancini or over 2 years? crap CL campaign. not getting the most out the squad. close to 200m wage bill. theres very good reasons to get rid of Mancini.

Since United won the title the players haven't really looked like they could be bothered to get out of bed on the day - I get that but if they respect ANYTHING about the club then today they ought to play like it's for PL relegation survival.
