UPDATE: My Sources did reveal to me on August 17th that Discovery are in very hot water apparently something to do with the Warner Bros. Discovery merger, no other info was given.

I feel it will be HBO or DC.

Most people will do that even those who watch live and sit through the adverts would be hard pressed to notice if they had the correct regional feed or the London feed. I've already said elsewhere that Virgin could have, in theory, already switched to the correct regional playouts for the 141 HD service. Who'd even notice the change?

It's not on Freesat. You can manually tune it in, but they aren't paying to be on the EPG.

Sure, but the point is is that Freesat users can access CNN should they wish to do so by manually tuning it in.

Can, but likely won't. Most Freesat users will just use the Guide, those with non-Freesat generic FTA satellite boxes, on the other hand, are more likely the sorts to have the inclination and/or knowledge to even look.

I've manually tuned in CNN, because I could, I don't actually watch it though, but I'm definitely not the average Freesat user.

Now that 5USA HD and 5STAR HD are both available on Sky Glass and BT TV, I think that VM should get them on Virgin TV next time they renew their carriage agreement with Paramount. VM already has 5ACTION HD so it will be useful to get these other Channel 5 networks in HD.

Old seasons are, but this article is about the premiere of new seasons moving to Disney+.

A major loss for Sky Witness.

I do wonder if with companies reclaiming their own shows for their own streamers they will all be ruthless with keeping them exclusive, whether there will remain secondary rights with the opportunity to broadcast a year or so after they premiere.

Disney aren't selling 2nd run rights to outside buyers in the US or any other market

Paramount seem open to it , 2nd run rights often don't rate well though

It would be good if Virgin were to show the Queens funeral in UHD

That would be dependent on anyone having such a feed in the first place. Not aware that any broadcaster has currently said they'd be arranging that.

If the BBC do, then it would likely be accessible through iPlayer anyway.
