June 2016 would make sense as this will have made it a Sky exclusive for two years. The period of Sky exclusitvity was never in the public domain but I believe The Guardian suggested it was at least 18 months.

Initially, the rumour was that the exclusive deal was for 12 or 18 months, following which original programming for ITV Encore would kick in. On that basis, we wouldn't miss out on any content.

However, the two years that you mention is a different proposition. Where did you hear that?

UPDATE: I've just established that ITV have established a '4 year partnership with Sky', so at worse, this period of exclusivity may have another 3 years to run!

So much for 'rumours'!!

MB Views: Has Media Boy HQ work out Lifetime HD channel number?

We think Lifetime HD will launch on Virgin Channel 294 but,

We also think Virgin Media may move Lifetime to Virgin Channel 208 with Lifetime HD launching on Virgin Channel 209.

That will keep Virgin Channel 274 free for CI to move down one at an later date so that CI HD can launch.

All views are of Media Boy HQ and no one else.

In the USA maybe , I can't see it arriving here anytime soon unless they strike a startup partnership with one of the UK platforms (BT, Sky or VM).
