I love watching him. He manages to make the simplest things look and taste amazing. I am vegetarian and very fussy about where I go to eat because most pubs and normal restaurants tend to have the same limited bland range. I went to Jamie's restaurant in Nottingham for the first time last year and absolutely loved it. I had bruschetta to start like I normally do at any Italian but the addition of small amount of different herbs, vinegars and other seasonings made it taste absolutely phenomenal. The same went for my main course. It isn't about huge amounts of overpowering flavours which dominate the food, it is minute amounts of many different flavours creating a culinary explosion in your mouth.
I have always said that if I won something like £150 million on the euromillions I would pay him to come and cook for me for 1 week and I would give him free reign to wow me and make whatever he wants for breakfast, dinner and tea (in my new mansion of course :) ) |
