A friend of mine has one and they're still working round here but we've only had the cards a couple or so weeks, though I notice that one of the neighbours has had a motorised dish installed possibly in preparation, hmmmm :D

Lets look at the facts.

Big businesses rip off customers all the time. Yes

The public robbing the services do so at their own risk. Yes

Dont do the crime if you can't do the time. Yes

Don't feel guilty if you rob their services,they dont feel guilty robbing you. Yes

Don't whine and moan about people robbing the services just because your in an area that doesn't support cable and your can't rob the services yourself! lol

And join the ride

P.S I dont watch Sky/VM or much TV in general but I hate big corporate businesses taking us all for a ride. Good look to the thieves. Also if everyone got rid of their chipped boxes and joined Virgin if you think Virgin would think thanks guys we will knock £5 off everyones package price then your on cloud cuckoo land.

Now lets look at the true facts...

Premium TV is not a right it's an option. If you don't like the option then don't get it installed... If you don't like the company then don't get it installed..

If you do get it via an illegal method then you are a criminal, no judge is going to let you use any of the above as a defence.. No one has forced you to break the law that is your choice so accept any consequences..

As for the final "If it can be made and designed by one HUMAN it can be replicated and stolen" it really does show how little people know about encryption systems, yes it probably can be broken but even with todays super computers it would take a few days for each key, pity the key is changed at least 3 times a day :D :D

True, but stealing from them does nothing to cure the problem. You want to make a complaint about being ripped off, do so through proper channels.

And what happens when too many people steal services? Look up On Digital.

Do I believe they would do that? No, not really. However, I know that if you were truly against "corporate business taking us all for a ride" rather than just an opportunist hoping for some free or cheap tv and trying to justify it, then you would not watch TV. At all.

I remember a phrase I learned when younger.. Just because you can do a thing, it does not mean you should do that thing.

I could go down the road, break into the rather large Renault dealership down the road, steal a car and drive off. It doesn't mean I should do that, or that it is right for me to do so.

Nothing yet here in South Wales!

People are still buying dodgy boxes in my local club and when I tell them they will be useless soon all I get is a mouthfull!

One of the sellers tells me that because they are "euro" boxes the new cards do not effect them.

I hope they are wrong.
