There was plenty of charge in it.

Hold down both the power button and the home button. Ignore the slide screen when it appears and keep holding until it powers off. Then power back up after about 10 seconds. This is the iphones way of hardbooting.

Want to watch live Freeview TV channels on your iPhone? Via not just WiFi but also 3G?

Then try TVCatchup...

I've been using iTunes on my brothers pc whilst waiting for my own laptop power supply to arrive (from Hong Kong), so now I'm back to using my iTunes on my own laptop.

Sorry if I appear dim, but is there a way I can back up my iPhone to my iTunes on this laptop? It seems to want to wipe everything  as it was installed via iTunes on my brothers Mac.

Apple have made them remove the 'Free Memory' feature, so now it just tells you how much memory your iPhone is gobbling up.

What a waste of 59p!

I use SBSettings. It shows the amount of free memory, plus lets you see which Apps are still running in the background (& lets you close them if you want), plus has an option to free up memory, plus has quick & easy on/off toggles for 3G & WiFi & various other things, and more... Free on Cydia, so JB only though.

Now 3.1.2 can be Jailbroken, I've just updated my 3GS to 3.1.2 & Jailbroken it again. Lost the ability to carrier unlock due to the baseband update in 3.1+, but that doesn't bother me though as I'm stuck with O2 anyway.

I wonder if I can upgrade and keep my current plan?
I pay about 30ish pounds per month and get unlimited texts etc

And since when has unlimited meant limited???
I know that using 750mb a month is probably hard to use from a mobile device but why say its unlimited then print a line below that says it is'nt......

Pfft. I was hoping they would undercut O2 on price. Wait to see what Vodafone do I guess.

IMO all operators are going to have the same style price plans with similar pricing options to O2. This is because they need to (a)recoup the cost of the phones and (b) O2 have got away with it for this long without people moaning about the cost so theres no reason why Orange and Voda will be any different.

Orange's pricing and tariff minutes and texts are almost the same as the O2 ones. No surprise there, however I thought they may have tried to get things cheaper or have more inclusive mins and texts than O2.

I'm glad they aren't different, otherwise I'd have been well miffed :p:

I could not upgrade, I had to take an "iphone" tariff.
£87 for the iphone 3gs 16gb in black.
£35 a month.

They reckon it should be delivered on the 10th but im not holding my breath due to the amount of sales i think they will get.
