Don't want to repeat anything that may have already been mentioned, however I have noticed on the Sky listings for their football coverage, they seem reluctant to give a channel name for many of the premier league games coming up.

The first couple of weeks of premier league action seem to be on HD1 and HD2, however beyond that, and your guess is as good as mine.

I for one just crossing my fingers that all premier league games are on 1 and 2. I mean last season, you would have found it hard to find a premier league game, yet even a league game not on 1. It would be crafty from sky...

Thoughts people??

This has already been discussed.

They have been warned by OFCOM that if they shift games to SS3/4 then they will look into adding those channels to the ruling.

Right, thought there may be something like that to stop sky doing this. I can understand it for things like the SPL and CL as these were on 3 and 4 last year.. so no complaints there.

Looks to me like you have to pay for Sky Movies, Sky Sports and ESPN to be able to get HD without the £10 charge.

Blimey, Blimey.....I really wish these nonsense SKY will move Premier stuff to SS3 and 4. They won't be doing so, unless there is a good scheduling reason for doing it. SS1 & 2 are the flasgship channels and advertisers and sponsers wouldn't be happy for them to shift to the perceived 'lesser' channels.

All this conspiracy stuff needs to stop and folk need to get a grip

Wasn't alot of champions league football on sky sports 3 and 4 last year?
I specifically remember that sky sports 1 was a simulcast with sky sports news

Not Sky Sports 3, but Sky Sports Xtra (now "4") carries extra Champions League games, as does the Red Button service, during the early stages. Many of the Away games are only shot in SD I think; games from the UK, Spain, Germany and Italy should be in HD but I don't think other countries are so generous.

Sky Sports 1 and 2 are now on
BT Vision tv guide on epg 41 @ 42 . it got be sooner then later for us too have sky hd channels comeing to us .

first spl live match on sky sports hd 4 and 4 so looks like we wont get spl in hd but to be fair i think spl was on hd 3 last season so not really changed...

GMTV rebranded as 'Daybreak'

ITV have confirmed that GMTV will be rebranded as Daybreak.

Launching in September, the show will be hosted by Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley.

The £1.5m relaunch will include new music and graphics along with a new studio overlooking the River Thames which will be equipped with technology for high-definition broadcasting.

Chiles and Bleakley will be joined by a team of special correspondents with the aim of bringing viewers a more news-led show along with entertainment, human interest and sport features.
