That was pretty cool, but it might have looked a bit more realistic if instead of using a CG car for the whole clip they'd cut from a real car driving down the road to a CG car mapped with textures from photographs of the real car.

Having said that, the idea of using a CG car with blacked-out windows for the whole clip does neatly avoid the issue you mentioned of what to do with the driver during the disintigration, though I suppose they could have done a CG person being thrown clear of the car.
