I wonder what the standard conversion rate is for set-pieces and how Arsenal compare against that. It could be that free kicks are missed just as much by other teams but you only notice it when it's your own team.

Not until this season. Before that he was considered a very good right back and one of the contract worries at the club, i.e will be sign a new one, but this since that prospect has become less of a concern.

a lot of money there.

Liverpool have left it late. could be a bonus. the Standard Chartered deal brings in 20m per season 11/12 & 12/13.

Ooredoo is particularly interested in shirt sponsorship and naming rights to Anfield
shirt deal I can see happening but the stadium naming rights would only happen if a new stadium is built right? surely Anfield wouldnt be changed :erm:

Re: Football Season 2012/2013

Doesn't make sense. A for-profit company wouldn't invest that much into Liverpool just for advertising.

EDIT: Oppps. Misread it. I thought they wanted to buy the club. Still, it's rather vague what investment it is, it won't be much beyond the normal rate. As thenry points out renaming Anfield isn't going to work either.

No this was a conversation about Liverpool. I am sick of the thread always being about Arsenal. I said they won't go above normal which would mean we take Liverpool's last sponsorship deal and see to raise a bit.

thenry 28-04-2013 21:37

because you blindly support and because you think the recent renewal is decent i thought you'd consider that sort of level as normal. what do you mean by a bit though? whats normal in your eyes?

of course. whats normal, whats the rate which you think is normal, what figure do you think Liverpool will get from the upcoming renewal? a bit over 20m could be anything lets be honest.

whoever finishes 4th in the PL has a fight to get into the groups. other leagues have intense fights for CL footy too. Real Sociedad currently putting distance between them and those around them chasing 4th including Malaga although Malaga cannot get into Europe next season anyway. Germany, Italy etc. all have battles going on too.

Not a bad performance by Arsenal in general, to get 13 shots on target against Manchester United isn't bad at all, you do have to question 1 goal in 13 attempts though. Demba Ba was up for grabs in January too, he'd have put a few away yesterday.
