Stewed blackcurrants from the allotment, over vanilla Carte d'Or ice cream. Nom, nom as ones son might say ! Now just have to work out what to do with a mountain of courgettes.... Fun to grow but a nightmare to get rid of !

Yesterday I did pork souvla on my foukou BBQ https://www.cyprusbbq.co.uk/products...tra-wide-black (I bought mine in Cyprus) with nice potatoes from the garden, baby tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella. Fresh cherries from the farmer's market.

Superb rump steaks from Lidl's "pound of steak" promotion. Knocks the rest into a cocked hat.

Medium-rare, no gristle, tender and full of flavour. All the usual accompaniments. So good you feel you could eat it again. :D

Waitrose have (had) herbed chickens for £3 (one of the roast in bag types). So put on one the barbie, smoked with alder wood, roasted some sweet potatoes in oil, curry, salt and sugar in the barbie with them.

Meals cooked over last few days

Roasted smoked bacon, chicken, chorizo with white beans, tomato and smoked paprika sauce.

Roast duck legs with sweet chilli glaze, egg noddles, Thai vegetable stir fry. ( I roasted 4 legs, 3 glazed the other was cut up and added the the bean dish above.

I 'was' eating multi pack Stockwells (Tesco) crisps 10/£1 but my blood pressure shot up due to all the salt. So I've had to stop eating them. :(
