greece were very poor and they made us look better than we are.. have to feel for Defoe he had a great season and missed out on the WC to someone who never got a game and then for SMs new team he was only on the bench too until Ashton got injured

we didn't play too well and second half was terrible just like Sven he didn't know how to turn it around.. didn't think SG had a great game on right

still alot of work to do for England team but at least now they have said they can't win anything

well, i suppose if leeds are going to make a bogus allegation against chelsea, chelsea should be allowed to respond the same way

Looks like it may be a swift return to league football for Oxford United if they can keep their form going.

Burton Albion 1 Oxford United 2

First game of the season, and already Arsenal fail to fill their newly built stadium.

Hmmm I wonder what I'd prefer my club to be hundreds of millions in debt for, a brand new stadium that some believe will bring in £30 million a year in extra revenue or so some strange gnome like creature could own the club and give his equally strange looking children jobs, now that's a tricky one  :D

Indeed !

There have been so called financial schemes in the past, that have the intention of bringing in extra revenue. I seem to remember one such "bond" scheme at upton park, which fell flat on it's face. ;)

Tbh that didn't put the club in debt, it was just a crude way to extract every last penny from the fans, I remember being part of the demonstrations, only to go home to find my mother had bought one :dozey:  :D
