We might not have agreed that much in the past, but i can't agree with you more here. Bill C and Ignition were the sole reasons i haven't gone mad sometimes, they have both helped me and it astonishes me that 2 people who helped to placate customers arn't looked after better. I will honestly miss your helpfulness Bill and am still grateful for the help i received from you last month. My sincerest best wishes for your next job and hopefully you will end up with employers more deserving.

Cheers again, best of luck :(

Just how many people are left keeping ntl running?

I hope there's a warning before the TV service stops altogether because there's no-one there keeping it working.

Guys, I wasn't pushed I jumped ;)

Now work for a company that treats me like a human being, isn't anywhere near as politically charged, and where I get so so so much less 'excrement' along with better working environment and substantially higher salary and benefits and a more interesting job.

So no thanks I'll stay where I am, not to mention that I've moved home in between and have no intention of commuting from London to Hampshire.

In that case, Goodbye and thanks for the fish :P

Seriously though, you have been a great help to me, and no doubt countless others, ntl's loss is going to be another companies gain, I hope you stick around, as you're a diamond, and a top member of this community :-)

Thanks again, and good luck in the future.

Redundancy isn't actually a bad thing, I took volentary a couple of years ago and haven't looked back, nearly got out sourced this year but that got stopped at the last minute due to the contents of the database. now kicking ass.

p.s. the Co I took the redundancy from also made some other people in another dept. redundant, they got called into a meeting and told by HR + Boss that they'd got the shove and when they got back to their desks, all there access rights had been revoked...

Good luck to Bill and OB and any other NTL Staff who are getting made redundant, this time last year NTL put us on our 30 days notice, however every cloud has a silver lining and all that, I ended up getting some great experience at BT and I am happier than ever in my current job with another DTV/ISP.

Hope things work out for you all, not that you both seem too perplexed by it

Yep. I left with a payout in February and the new job is better pay, conditions and surroundings than the old one.

All in I'm very glad I took the cash and jumped instead of moving to the new site.
