Re: E-mail and ntlworld.com problems

I suppose it is catch 22. The system not working so everything is backing up which puts more load on the system when it is working, which brings it down again.

Nope, there's no area switching - it's all or nothing.

My ntl e-mail works occasionally and sporadically over the last 3 days. Sometimes it's fine, and at others, their servers just time out. I suspect accesses are being, err, 'rationed'.

Re: E-mail and ntlworld.com problems

Am I to assume that I have a sepearate problem, since everyone of my NTL email accounts is saying ERR- username/password incorrect? or do you think its related to the ongoing problems? No one else has mentioned this error, The POP3 server is up for me just not accepting my login & password.

That's a seperate problem, the main problem that this thread refers too is/was connectivity.

Thanks, I just wondered if they were related since they both happened at the same time for me (this weekend). I consider myself patient but i've just about had enough of NTL.

I can't be the first to get the following outlook express error.

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'pop.ntlworld.com', Server: '62.253.162.50', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

I can receive mail from other pop servers.

What's the solution ntl?

Been working ok for me for the last 4 hours. Has it finaly been resolved?
The service status page says it has, but that's not always reliable.
