Maybe a daft question, but do have TRVs fitted to all the radiators, apart from the one with the thermostat in?

Manual trvs all round except from the radiator that loops. Why do you ask?

Pretty much yes, something my old old boiler never did, atleast that I can remember as it was 28 years old.

Mine has been just overhauled last week by a new firm and it's been coming on the last 3 nights. I'm toasty warm at the moment.

I've had to increase the desired temperature. 20c was far too cold this morning. I've put it on 21c which seems good right now.

Most older installations I see had not been upgraded to TRVs, but a few had them fitted in the same area as the main thermostat. Luckily, their boilers had not exploded or spurted hot water as they had inbuilt pressure relief loops.

I had the whole system upgraded around 10 years ago. New double radiators everywhere except bathroom, hallway and one in the front room. Two doubles are not allowed in the same room. New manual trvs, valves.

Do you have a delay between when your DT4 calls for heat and your boiler fires up? Also does your boiler temperature reach high levels? Mine is acting strange, a delay and boiler temp is in the 40s :shrug:

Oh all these headaches we're now getting with super efficient heating systems.

well that's how it works here, i have a sold fuel stove [does great roasted chestnuts]

my neighbour has a wood burner, he fuels it with scrap wood he picks up here and there for free, i think he was burning some wood he got from the fish dock last night as it smelt like he was smoking kippers
