Haven't posted here in a good while but alway keep an eye on the forum.

I don't know why but this genuinley makes me sad lol. End of an era.

As a tennis nut, I could never get Sky due to a bloody great tree in my back garden so when the then NTL started cableing my road I was bloomin well overjoyed I could start watching tennis which was then pretty much exclusivly on British Eurosport.

I shall subscribe to TNT to get cotinued coverage of Australian and French Open tennis if needed but as i aready have TNT I presume i won't pay anything more?!

Also, does this mean TNT stays or goes from Virgin TV Go?

Goodbye Eurosport my old friend. You will be missed. :mis:

The biggest winner from today is probably EE - £29pm for Discovery+ Premium and an unlimited data sim is comfortably the best value on offer for people who really want to keep watching their minority sports.

So with the loss of two sports channels from the top tier will we get something else instead or a price reduction? Lol

Maybe this is why Virgin removed it from being added at no extra cost from the top basic packages?

It seems , EE , Sky & Virgin were aware this was going to happen since the beginning

I suspect most people either don't bother, don't fancy doing it or don't know it's negotiable.

No, it's what happens when takeovers and mergers occur and a single company ends up dominating the market.

This will actually save Virgin money as they will no longer have to pay carriage fees for Eurosport. With TNT Sports, as a standalone channel, costs are met by subscribers.

Company cutting costs, because income is less , that's a surprise . Sorry I forgot you believe that companies have money trees in their car parks

Are you aware of the actual background to this forthcoming change?

Let me guess they are looking to spend more money :p:I am sure you will explain, no doubt they asked your advice prior to making the change.

Shame their TV apps are disappearing everywhere.

It might make me adjust our package, I have no intention of subscribing to TNT. I watch a lot of Eurosport and it suited being part of a general channel package, I don’t do premium sports channels, I don’t watch enough to justify the cost.

Yup, an attempt to bring Pay TV to Digital Terrestrial sitting alongside Freeview, offering bits of channels rather than full ones and overnight bits that the box recorded due to the space limitations of DTT.

Interesting concept. Wasn’t a subscriber personally.
