Playing for third place was boring I actually had a power nap watching that which is more than I can say for the final itself. Thoroughly entertaining. Well done Portugal for not giving up :woot:

Watching some of the Fifa Club World Cup. Half empty stadiums and zero atmosphere. Bodes well for the US soccerball world cup next year. Maybe they can cgi the crowds?

Watching the Chelsea v LA match atm, and neither of those statements appears to apply (its not full, but it doesnt look half empty either).

Well there was certainly more atmosphere there than Donnies parade but it wasn't exactly rocking. Chelsea won it in second gear against another team that won't be gracing the business end of the competition.

Well you cant generally see the top tier from TV coverage.

The game started at 3pm local time on a working Monday .

Doug Roberson of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution noted ;

So far, 8 games, average attendance has been 42,829 per match.

PSG v Atletico Madrid was attended by 80,619.

I still think this is an entirely poinless competition.
I'm certainly glad Forest are not in it, they need a rest.

There will probably be better attendances at matches involving South American/Spanish/Portugese teams, as Hispanic USA’ns are more active soccerball fans than your standard Septic…

I don't buy into that. These elite clubs have spent a vast amount of time in commercials. The stadium capacity was embarrassing. I wonder what Todd Bullshit made of it being an American citizen.
