Virgin has given Sky Sports Tennis provisional channels numbers ahead of launch:

Sky Sports Tennis - Provisionally added to channel 537.*
Sky Sports Tennis HD - Provisionally added to channel 520.*

*Channels are NOT on any boxes.

With Sky Sports Tennis launch how will Virgin Media fit all Sky Sports Channels together?

Here is my own views: https://mediaboyukblog.blogspot.com/...where-sky.html

Channel 4 will close "smaller linear channels" including the Box music channels later this year and others at the right time.

The website shut down in October so not surprising

The Box always seemed like a popular channel.

I still think it's weird that none of those music channels have ever gone HD.

It was a strange move at a time when MTV, NOW, TRACE channels etc were moving from traditional linear channels to FAST channels, Channel 4 decided to kill of the streamed versions of their channels. With no presentation and running multiple channels from a single computer server, the channels must be as cheap as chips to run. An odd direction to take for an organisation planning to become a "digital first public service streamer".

They could add music FAST channels to Channel 4 app though & other platforms

They launched their first FAST channel in the UK in December

So Sky Sports Tennis is just a rebrand then and not a new channel. As I thought it would be.

It's an additional channel. Dunno where you get the rebrand idea from

Re: Virgin TV (2024)

Sky already has sky sports NFL and sky sports arena on the channel numbers they give on their own website. 407 and 408.
