So true. Bath are above Gloucester so I'll take that, and quietly ignore the Care Bears in the top-4!

I managed to get through to customer support today to cancel my Premier Sports subscription as there is no pause available.

Still had to give 30 days notice

Very frustrating that I’m paying for nothing but once this blows over my Sky & BT Sports subs are on pause and will continue and my sub will go back to norm

But won’t be going back to Premier Sports - this could be the case for many.

Yup, many people will remember how various companies treated them at this time and not use them in the future when all this is over. They're too focussed on the present to consider how their behaviour will come back on them in the future.

I for one will never, ever use Ocado again. They've really surprised & upset me with their uncaring and pig ignorant attitude.

A pause is available for Premier Sport, Box Nation and Racing TV, but not through the website. Call Customer Services.

Sounds like he already cancelled, though I suppose he could ring back and cancel the cancel, and ask for the pause.

I can't speak for Ocado. However Virgin Media are a middleman with Premier Sport. Why should Virgin take the hit in the middle between the customer and the provider?

Premier Sports are very much in the 'at risk' category of fledgeling media companies and they in turn will have made financial commitments to sports bodies for which they have no product to offer.

Virgin Media didn't just wake up one morning and devise some ruse to trick anyone here, Richard.

I asked for pause but was told by the two agents I spoke to that a pause is not available on Premier Sports, only option is to cancel.

I would agree, that sort of attitude will be remembered -pausing is better for the supplier as they control the resumption process to full payment.

By forcing you to cancel they lose control and in all likelihood a lot of customers who, like you, won't bother to re-subscribe.

In the end, their loss.

A bit late for you, but if anyone else gets this, ask the agent to look for their briefing dated 6th April called "Virgin TV: Further Sport Subscription Pauses"

I was talking about Steve saying he wouldn't go back to Premier Sports, not VM.

Thanks for that Spiderplant

I just phoned back and quoted the briefing and after a bit of to and frowing it has been added to my account.

She and her colleague next to her has never known about it.

Thanks a million (or a tenner)

Sounds like they aren't reading the briefings sent to them :erm:

To be fair they probably have a bucket load of them just now

However as it’s from weeks ago how many others have had to cancel totally and pay for 30 days while the notice time passes.

Obviously a comms breakdown.

They could make it easier on themselves by adding the option to the website as the lass I spoke to pointed out it covers, Premier, LaLigaTV, BoxNation and RacingTV if the subs are active

Has anyone who has had a credit, been applied a 2nd credit for the 2nd bill since the option was available? I'm still unsure if this £27 was a one off payment or not.

It should be on-going until normal service resumes, and you should get an email to let you know when that will be.
