slight negative vibe there Colin? personally i dont want England to play static crap. if that gets a win and playimg decent footy doesnt then people need to wake up although thats been the case for a while now.

I think you are missing the point, or inferring the wrong one

Instead of worrying about getting a result...focus on playing good football

Too often the result means more the the game, it should be the other way around. Good football should get you a result, not get a result even if it means playing negatively

If Spain or Brazil won the cup..playing dire football..would their fans think it was great?

Why on earth do people keep complaining about it could be bad on England, when a player gets injured.

If Rooney gets injured, does that mean the Euro's are over for England. Of course not, its a chance for young blood to come in.

We cannot rely on the 'old guard' to play for this country, we have to have young blood and this is there chance.

Yes. And if Chelsea played that type of football, I suspect it would struggle to keep fans.

Chelsea this season relied on a lot of luck. That won't happen again.

I agree. No disrespect to lampard, but he isn't exactly a Messi, or Ronaldo.

Will they win more if they had him..not sure...Are they critically weakened without him..don't think so.

Then again, you can put too much emphasis on attractive football.

Holland: three times losing finalists of the World Cup, one time winner of the European Cup. They are a bit more business-like these days. Here's hoping...

Den, truth is not sour grapes...it is just that.

Or do you really think that Chelsea could repeat what they did based on the football they played?

Being critical is not same as criticism, and does not mean I have "sour grapes".

why would I? I am not a Barcelona or Bayern Madrid fan boy. My remarks are not based on being jealous, and if you look at previous posts, I wanted Chelsea to win.

But that doesn't mean I want negative football to be rewarded. And to be honest, i get bored watching Barcelona win always, but that is down to wanting competition.

Give me a Swansea who plays flowing football and doesn't win always to a...hmm..liverpool? Wait..they don't win always either :D.
(you make it too easy sometimes lol)

At least Jordan Henderson has proven he is an ideal replacement for Lampard - he can't play with Gerrard either...

:)

Erm because it is.

I'm of the opinion England would have won Euro 2004 if Rooney hadn't got injured.

Re: Euro 2012

Question, if the home fans in Euro 2012 make abusive remarks to non-white players will their team & fans face a ban in competion like England faced?
