From what you are saying Chris each church can make it's own rules, accepting ,or re interpreting to apease local wishes .From an outsiders point of view it appears that Christianity is whatever you want it to be |

it would be nice to follow the written rules to the letter. but you can't do that when nobody really knows what the exact rules are. they can only have a guess at most of them, and in some cases skirt around the others. ---------- Post added at 20:43 ---------- Previous post was at 20:28 ---------- Quote:

As valid a discussion that may be, it would only descend in to this month's overdue religion-bashing thread.
I don't personally know any Christian that spends time campaigning against gays, gay rights etc. They may disapprove of the lifestyle but that's their right. I've literally trusted my life to gay people in the past and not cared about what they get up to in private just as I wouldn't expect anyone to question me about my own lifestyle. People will react to stories like in the OP but you ignore the rest of the time when billions of us have a "live and let live" attitude. |

It is very sad and very dissapointing that people still think that it is ok to think that Homosexuality is sometihng that is not natural and a "sin" and a "sign from the devil", that can be cured
Those sorts of attitudes have nothing to do with religion and more to do very old fashioned values that should stay in the past Also, how can they do theses adverts when there is a huge wealth gap and a lot of inequality and injustice in the world, surely Jesus would agree? ---------- Post added at 15:59 ---------- Previous post was at 15:53 ---------- Quote:
Anyway, there are reasons why we don't say anything we like, "this guy is a ****** or all **** are *****, and it not just racism, it also includes swearing as well You are not forced to offend someone, so there is no need (Just becuase I have used *, please can you not mistake it for offencive language, I was just showing am example) |
