Its unlikely in my view that virgin will be offered sky sports HD3/4 anytime soon,as they will want to keep something back not just sky sports HD4. |

F1 does not equate to Sky giving away channels, its just another sport they have the rights to. As someone has previously mentioned the BBC races and highlights meets the commitment to showing the races in HD, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Sky half of the deal meets it too, after all they are available in HD to the 8 million+ customers of Sky, just not us. |

Although obviously i do hope should the situation arise that sky would show F1 on HD1/2 if possible. |

Without being F1 or Sky Sports related, that was just as useful as your post. |

"The BBC will offer full reruns of the Formula One races that it does not show live next year. They will be shown on demand, through the red button, approximately three hours after the end of the race at the same time as the highlights package goes to air on the main channel, according to reports." I don't know if the BBC Red Button service is HD (suspect not), and I also understand that BBC Red Button isn't available on TiVo (I read that it takes you to iPlayer?). So - is that any real benefit for Virgin customers? Possibly no HD for 10 races, and unable to view or record it if using TiVo? For information, I only have Virgin BB and currently have Freeview (no HD TV) but considering adding TiVo and phone to get F1 in HD next season, was considering Sky Sports package to get remaining 10 races, but have to see what BBC provide. |
