You might have to say your prayers for a good time yet Mr K.

Well I pray to the God who reigns. Bit cloudy here today and temperature right down. I like it hot and sunny but not the humidity that besets us in the UK when it is hot.

Also our houses are built for the heat, we like to keep heat in not out and we don't have vernadas (stoeps) around our houses where we can sit outside in the shade which would be nice.

Finally "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" is all too true - don't complain about not being able to dig your garden in the afternoon - get up earlier, do the work in the morning, then siesta in the heat of the day and finish off later. If we are having med style weather, switch as you can to a med style time table.

The trouble is, our God who reigns isn't letting it rain!

Nonetheless, your advice is very sound, apart from the bit that assumes praying actually works!

We have a God that reigns? Try telling that to the aetheists and agnostics also those of other religions who have different Gods.

I hope we get a break in the warm weather soon and get some rain. It's been weeks now.

That smell though when it's been hot for ages and not rained.... then first drops of rain fall...

Re: Weather

Its funny how some of our family moaned like anything about the colder weather earlier this year and stated succinctly we cannot wait for the warmer hotter weather but alas most of them are hoping for the weather to break now.

Too much of a good thing Den.

Well there was a bit of rain through the night, can already feel it a bit fresher.

Personally l am not a lover of extremes Stephen in the weather as if its too cold my extremities struggle to warm up and if it is too hot l get oedema gathering in the tissues of the body.

18 to 21 celsius would do my fine but alas British weather is pretty inconsistent generally.

I'd say the general UK weather is pretty consistent actually.

Yeah I suffer edema in my legs but can't say it's dependant on the weather.
