Even if you have absolutely no affection whatsoever for the royal family and our constitution, you have to admit, you can't buy the sort of positive publicity for our great country that today's events have brought.

And, to top it all, a couple that are obviously very much in love have tied the knot and are starting life together. Wonderful. :)

Yes, very well organised and I'd like to give the police and security services a big  To control those numbers of people as well as they did was a complete success.

AN unofficial street party in Glasgow's Kelvingrove Park was descending into violence tonight as police stuggled to cope with a crowd of thousands of revellers.

Hundreds of thugs threw missiles at officers and at least three cops were injured.

Many of the 4000-strong crowd at the bash were boozing heavily and attacked officers as they tried to split up a fight.

I'm glad to see the day went well and they both looked very happy.

That said I think its important that the behind the scenes work that went on to make sure the day passed off incident free for the royals and the visting dignitaries should not be understated.

The task was a thankless one but Britain has its heroes such as Craig Phillips to thank for the smooth running of the day. The UK owes him, in particular, an incredible debt of gratitude for his selfless bravery.

:(

That'll be Camerons fault then

Quote:

The event was organised after David Cameron attacked "pen pushers and busybodies" for thwarting royal wedding celebrations.

The PM said : "They have no right to stop you from having fun. I am the Prime Minister and I am telling you if you want to have a street party, you go ahead and have one."

I believe that if any group had tried any demo or other activity the crowd would have torn them apart.

I was travelling in France but I watched the main part of it in Paris. Very good. Tonight the French news was showing all the places in the world that were watching the wedding and cheering. All very nice :)

Proud day to be British! We can put on a really good show :)

Basically, this is a rip from the Channel 4 program The Royal Wedding Crashers. I saw this, and was slightly disturbed lol. I know it was only a joke etc, but the principal of it is, to the wrong people, it could be seen as something it aint...if you catch my drift. Is it me,or are people purposly trying to give extremists something to respond to? WHAT are your views on this?
yes it may be a joke ,but it is very misleading if shown out of context ...and we all know how sensitive some foriegners can be ;)
