I'd take anyone over Upson tbh.

Media Boy UK 09-05-2010 12:25

I hope Spain win after Euro 2008.

Fair comment and the only reason why he shouldn't be picked if he is avaliable

two i hate it when players don't bother with qualification and friendlies and just make themselves available for tournaments. Its hugely unfair on players who have gone through it only to lose their place to someone who couldn't be bothered.
If the players that went through qualifying were good enough he wouldn't be picked anyway.

Mind you IIRC Spurs have the most homegrown talent.

Homegrown talent lol Ledly King is your homegrown talent and has been for years

Bearing in mind there are 32 teams partaking in the WC, why are there only 9 choices in the poll? Can somebody please re-do it?

As much as I would love England to win they won't, I would put money on Brazil winning.

The official WC song is nice and uplifting; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxmEd9lcn0k

Arabic version isn't bad either; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZz0_4oVHLk

England's 30-man provisional squad for the World Cup finals:
Goalkeepers: Joe Hart (Manchester City), David James (Portsmouth), Robert Green (West Ham).

Defenders: Leighton Baines (Everton), Jamie Carragher (Liverpool), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Michael Dawson (Tottenham), Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United), Glen Johnson (Liverpool), Ledley King (Tottenham), John Terry (Chelsea), Matthew Upson (West Ham), Stephen Warnock (Aston Villa).

Midfielders: Gareth Barry (Manchester City), Michael Carrick (Manchester United), Joe Cole (Chelsea), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Tom Huddlestone (Tottenham), Adam Johnson (Manchester City), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), Aaron Lennon (Tottenham), James Milner (Aston Villa), Scott Parker (West Ham), Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Shaun Wright-Phillips (Manchester City).

Forwards: Darren Bent (Sunderland), Peter Crouch (Tottenham), Jermain Defoe (Tottenham), Emile Heskey (Aston Villa), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United).

6 Spurs players :D shame Chelsea, Man U & Arsenal couldn't come close :D

I predict that Peter Crouch will be England's top scorer.

Doesn't look good for John Terry, possible broken toe...

Re: Football World Cup 2010

With pampered Terry, over his ankle, it should have been his neck, he's broken, they are going on about a blow to the squad, there are players that can replace him, I wonder if Wayne Bridge will send him a get well card.

Spurs and Villa are best placed for this. Some (like Liverpool) are dangerously poor.

At club level you`ll be sorry. This has really messed up Cardiff Blues season. Small squad , international duty - lose games :td:

after losing the captaincy and the poor form he has had this season i'm not sure if he can be bothered. If it is a metertarsal then isn't that about 6 weeks minimum and when this happened to Beckham he wasn't fit when he started playing and that affected us in a few games
