Not a good choice. It is unlikely he can now beat the younger fresher talent on the grid today. He hasn't driven competitively since two thousand and six. It has not been a very successful course for many drivers who take "sabbaticals."

I cite N. Lauda as a successful driver who took a sabbatical. ;)

I understand that Brawn want "German" drivers, however, Rosburg, is in my opinion a poor choice. He isn't nothing special, I don't see Brawn winning and races / championships with Rosburg, however, I could be mistaken...

when Rosberg signed it was more as a number 2 to JB although of course now he has gone off to McLaren. Not sure if they will now try and sign a number one as only Kimi is available

I don't think they are willing to pay top brass for drivers. Thus the Rosburg choice.

Unsubstantiated Rumour Alert ;) ; Regarding the Williams equity sale, an article on the James Allen blog suggests that Audi might be behind the illustrious Mr Wolff in some form or other and in few years or so we might see a return to the distant past of F1 with "Silver Arrows" of Brawn Mercedes and the "Auto Unions" of Williams Audi.

A good story in a quiet period or a genuine move to get a VW brand on the grid ? Any thoughts?
