As i said, give them a chance to sort everything, it isn't going to be down forever, fine they should have made everything perfect at launch day, but it isn't, let them fix it

Didn't like the asound of this:

All your emails are ready and waiting for you to open. You can pick them up anytime from our new Virgin Media site. And for now your email address will stay the same.
For now? I thought they'd said it wouldn't change if you didn't want it to?

They need to NOT change existing email addresses. My experience with other companies is that forcing an email change on people can be the final push that makes them change supplier, as it's often having to change addresses that puts people off.

Yes, I thought that too LOL.

Woo hoooo, It is finally here. Not a bad homepage really.

If you are an NTL customor and you logged on this morning did you all get your free Virgin balloon flight to Australia and signed picture of Richard Branson ?
No ?
Oh what a shame lol.......would have been nice to get a freebie to welcome us :)

This was an ideal opportunity for ntl/telewest/virgin to compete with sky and carphone/talktalk.

So what do they do? They keep their pricing the same as before.

All they really needed to do was create a package like carphone/talktalk £20/month for phoneline, unlimited uk calls & broadband and everyone would be happy.

I admit their 2mb broadband is probably better than carphone/talktalk 8mb broadband
BUT
Their TV basic package is not much better than Freeview as far as I can see.
There are plenty of cheap mobile phone alternatives.

So what are they offering new customers?

AND

What are they offering existing customers?

A very disappointing web site. The upload speeds are listed incorrectly - shabby.

And this error is just criminally pathetic:-

Where do you live?
Depending on where you live, there are two ways to get Virgin Phone

By fibre optic cable (on cable)
Or down your phoneline (non-cable)

NOTHING HAS CHANGED EXCEPT THE NAME - IT'S JUST A REBRANDING.

They have done:

However, its a retentions offer and not a advertised offer:erm:

I'm incredibly happy thanks, a few free extras on my package not paying any extra, and the V+ Box which is released in my area today, which my wife is going to fall in love with me again for! I don't watch telly, but she's an addict.
