Re: Season 2018/2019

Early days, some very fluid movement, Fred looks decent and I have always been a fan of Pereira, just hope they don’t farm him out again. Leicester posed lots of problems and will not be an easy side to play against. Very impressed by Maddison. Brilliant save from Dave to keep us ahead in the first half. More control in second half until one or two tired. A deserved win with plenty of room for improvement.
And Lancashire won as well, so my visit to both Old Traffords on the same evening was a success.

Forgot to mention the thing that pleased me most and that was Luke Shaws performance, I really do hope he gets his mojo back. Also thought that Bailey and Lindelof dealt with the aerial threat from Maguire et al very well.

Beat 2-1 but not a bad performance or effort. Unlucky not to have walked away with a point or three given that Spurs retreated for the entire second half. Spurs doing no deals in the summer could be a huge mistake if we're reflecting off their overall performance yesterday. Only time will tell though.

I think Arsenal think they are playing rugby, two great conversions so far.:D

And a much harder chance put away finally. Both defences look wide open.

Indeed both have problems and are in their rebuilding phases l would say as Arsenal will need at least 4 or 5 transfer windows IMO and it will depend on whether patience is the byword at the Emirates because if it ain't then they could be in perpetual decline..

Question, what is the point of Alexis Sanchez. Utter tripe tonight, it's a good job for him he isn't on performance related pay.:(

Perhaps that might be a wise idea for Jose and his current lot.;)

Kenedy escapes a 3 match ban for Newcastle. Somehow. So one of the worst Premier league games in recent memory combined with one of the worst player performances in Premier league history with a shocking refereeing display ad the cherry on that cake and the FA follow it up by saying a free kick was given so the referee acknowledged that Kenedy had deliberately kicked someone and failed to produce a red card for it but that's fine so long as he seen it. Rather than you know, punishing the player and sorting the referee out.

Find myself saying if you don't call out the mistakes how can you expect it to change again and again.

I thought Salah took a dive. Felt the leg and went down. Can see why it was given though?

Indeed looking at it several times now that is the way l see it as players are very clever now in getting penalties awarded to them.

It might have reminded you of what you could have but alas with Jose at the helm that is simply not possible.;)
