Looks like Sky made a good choice with 5 teams still chasing the last two slots and the North group already decided.:)

I have a ticket for tomorrow, on the front row of the old pavilion terrace. At very fine third man to a right handed batsman facing at that end.:)

The weather is set fair for tomorrow as well although don't blame me if the weather suddenly goes tits up.:p:

Joe Roots very average tactical captaincy coming to the fore again while it seems some of Englands fielders have developed a touch of butterfingers as well.

Re: English Cricket
Well apart from England's fielding it was an enjoyable day out at Old Trafford..I somehow think they may not have to worry about getting Smith out again in this game :(

Re: English Cricket
The weather looks like being England’s best chance of getting out of this match with a draw although Sat/Sun forecast is much better and two full days may be beyond England’s survival capabilities. The last time a test match was played this late at Old Trafford was in 1880. There is a darned good reason for that which had obviously escaped the money grabbers at the ECB.

with 95 runs in 10 innings, the lowest aggregate for any opener playing every one of a five-match series in the history of Test cricket. |

Re: English Cricket
Drat, with a decent weather forecast for tomorrow I was hoping to take in a full days play at Old Trafford, County Championship match against Middlesex. I was a bit worried when I saw Lancashire had only managed 259 AO In their first innings. Sadly the appalling effort from Middlesex suggests I won’t see much play tomorrow. 39 for 6, they should have their wages withheld.:(

Cricket related I guess: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/49726913
The Sun has found out that Ben Stokes' family had a very horrible thing happen to them before Stokes was born and have splashed it on their front page and dispatched a 'journalist' to his parents house to talk about. He is understandably upset. |
