I'm sick of certain colleagues taking the p out of my old Blackberry.... such as "is that your daughter's phone?"

Just bought a HTC One. Knowing my luck there will be a new one coming out next week.

Yes my parents are pricing up a recliner settee as the settee they have currently is 10 years old.

Shrimp. I am having an explosion of shrimp. The little blighters keep breeding faster than I can get rid of them to other people and my local aquarium can't take anymore as they seem to have run out of customers. https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/local/2016/10/1.gif

I think I am now officially a shrimp farmer.

Well shrimp are a lot smaller than cats thank goodness.

I lost count when I got to 100. I only started with 3 and I can see a lot of the shrimps have a saddle full of eggs ready to increase the size of my flock, .... or whatever the name is for a heck of a lot of shrimps, they certainly look like sheep as they graze on the moss balls in the tank. :D

A troupe....

Are they edible? ;)

joglynne 19-08-2013 19:13

Re: What have you just bought?

I certainly like the idea of a troupe of shrimp. They race around the tank bumping into each other and generally acting silly most of the time so they could be likened to a troupe of clowns.

A full grown one is at the most 15mm long and a lot of mine are under 3mm so I wouldn't like to have to try to shell them if I decided to make some Potted Shrimp.. Now if they were prawns that would be a different matter. :)

Add// I just did a Google and would you believe it!! a collection of shrimp is really a Troupe. You clever man Taf. I have to say though that my husband recons it should be a Platter of Shrimp .. but then he does enjoy his sea food. :D

I was in the same situation about 4 months ago.
Solicitors are often rubbish chasing you when they need something and useless when you need info from them.
However once you are in your house, got all your furniture up, and settled in, you'l realise it is one of the best things you've done.
Enjoy your new house. :)

Plan on having one by the front door so I can tap the phone against one on the way in and out to turn wifi off, one in the car to toggle bluetooth and few in the front room to make it easier to switch between all the remotes. Got a few with 1k of space to write too, so will try out some tasker macro's too as well as having a keyfob with contact details on so I can just tap it to peoples phones, easy peasy!

Not just bought, but a couple of weeks ago I acquired my first android phone, a Samsung Galaxy S running on Android2.1 and I have just about got it running as I like. Android4.2.2 running with CyanogenMod 10.1.2 rocks. As some of you already know I spent a fair bit of time with my eyes closed and fingers crossed. :D

Setting up Ovivo on a rooted phone however had me tearing my hair out, but got there in the end and Ovivo is proving to be well worth the effort.

Am just waiting now for my new SD card to arrive before I fill my socks up with frivolous apps.

Happy bunny.

Mines pretty much bottom of the range but packed with features that I will actually use. It's only 5.1 but my thinking was get a cheap one now to last me a few years and upgrade to a better 7.1 + 4K in the future. TX-NR414 is the model.

Got a Pioneer Sub with it, 160 watt peak but think that means in reality it's 100.

Never really got in to all the audio stuff before and just wanted something better than the tv speakers and didn't want a soundbar. The DLNA means I can play music from the NAS directly or do it through XBMC or even on the phone. Loving the Vtuner, was so simple just to choose Ambient music and it just streams perfectly :)

Still lots to setup and play with but CEC seems to be working, my tv remote can control the amp and the Pi/XBMC connected to it.

Yes Ford Focus cars are incredibly reliable nash as we have had our 4 years and apart from the service and MOT we have not had any problems.

Four tickets to see Motorhead in Manchester next month. I promised my bro that I would go with him to see them but not sure what I'm letting myself in for ;)

My band have a gig 2 days later so hopefully this doesn't end badly for my hearing.
