I feel the Royal rumble has lost all of its fame and credibility.

There were a range of Veterans that should have been given a chance to headline WrestleMania. Yet The final two superstars are Alberto Del Rio and Santino Marella... What a joke.

CM Punk (Great Heel)
John Morrison (Deserves it)
Big Show (Veteran and a good run is well overdue)
Mark Henry ( Needs Main event status again!)

Winning the rumble does not seem so prestigous considering all the main superstars that dont win it.. Get another shot anyway at the Elimination Chamber.. Every year!

It stopped becoming prestigous when they had John cena supposedly cash his chance in straight away a few years back. I get what there doing with king, but Main eventing him at the Elim chamber may be the wrong way to go about it because he can not wrestle anymore at all and it will be stupidly boring to watch and predictable knowing somehow Jerry will have the Miz primed for a 3 count and Cole will break it up leading to the predictable WM match between cole and king thus giving Jerry his WM moment.

Not a chance. Taker will retire undefeated with the streak intact. If someone was going to beat him at WM it ought to be someone young and up-and-coming that needed to look strong, not just another guy with nothing to prove who was also coming to the end of his career.

ive heard that triple h is going back to being bad he's wanted to do it for a long time but hasnt had the chance, with HBK losing twice at WM to the undertaker there is a massive romour that triple h may win. it is just a romour and i hope undertaker does go 20-0 before he retires.

the romour mill again has been working hard about the undertakers retirement as well aparently undertaker and kane have one last battle the undertaker wins but drags kane back to hell

Because there is a PPV called Money in the bank.

I was hoping that would happen to the Rock.

A guy with a 7 year absence should never be allowed to come back and put one over on the biggest star since his departure. It should be more of a torch passing, The rock vs Hogan was a similar thing.

Erm...he didn't put one over his replacement, if you mean Cena. Rock kicked Miz out of the ring and had an AA for his trouble.

I know they always do this on the Raw before 'Mania but this week's show was brilliant apart from the brown-stuff fest clip from the bar with Trish and that midget. The HHH/Taker/HBK bit was amazing too.

I can see where Vince is going with this but they will always be known more for wrestling than producing z-list straight-to-the-bargain-bin films.

On another note, I have 3 mates that have gone to 'Mania this weekend, 2 have front row seats and have promised to have the Welsh flag on show, hoping Mason Ryan shows up :)

What kind of effect will it have all round.

The term wrestling is the only thing that gives them the sports entertainment name.

without that what difference is MNR from Eastenders?

And can it be shown on Sky sports if its not a sport?

As Russ has said, The movies are basically garbage, they reach a minimal audience because noone is interested. I could understand if they were like Virgin and had many fingers in many pies!

It won't make any difference. They'll always be a wrestling company to its fans, they'll always be the major player in professional wrestling, this is just typical of a company trying to force a rebrand on its customers.

People will still tune in and immediately recognise their product as professional or 'performance' wrestling. At a push I'd compare the ramifications of this change to what happened when they went from WWF to WWE - virtually none.

Wow..

Possibly the worst PPV I've ever seen.

What can you say? It was underhpyed to be fair and I dont blame them considering it was 3 Hours of absolute crap. The only thing that was even half decent was the Streak match.

Dont think I plan on watching another WWE show again. Missed Raw for the last few weeks and after tonight I can clearly see I'm not missing anything spectacular if the Main PPV of the year can offer nothing more than MNR can.

It seems like WWE is starting to offer more 'Acting' than In-ring matches and if thats the case then I'll get an extra 2 hours sleep on a monday night :p:

I see where sky are coming from.

NXT was a flop for all broadcasters so Sky clearly have no intention on picking up something thats just the same.

Watched this weeks Raw through Highlights on WWE.com

Cant be bothered with the late nights to see a Live show that contains 3 5-minute matches and the rest just general talking.

I'm hoping something in the near future changes so we see more matches on Raw and not just crappy squash matches.

My views on The Rock vs Cena.

Its already been done before and we already know how it ends.

I Allways Watch Raw at 2am But Car't Be Doing With All The Adverts Must Be An Advert Every 5mins. My Views On Rock vs Cena I think its not fair that we have to wait a whole year to see it. Why Not Do it at the next ppv or even summerslam. And why tell us the main event for wrestlemania allready it hasn't even been 24 hours since it finished when they told us.

Something as big as the Rock vs Cena has to be done at WM. That one match will be a MASSIVE draw.

All NXT 'rookies' are already WWE superstars straight from the OVW development brand.

Tough enough has the same layout but rather than using guys already working at OVW they choose random people who have only just started up.

The adverts on RAW are WWE's doing alone. Sky just gets a 'Stream' from the camera's so when WWE goes to commercial everyone does. Then someone sitting in the control room at sky launches the Sky commercials otherwise we would see the USA commercials... Which sometimes you do see when the little bloke at sky has fallen asleep :D

But I do agree, they are stupidly annoying and you can tell when they are going to commercials because it always involves 2 of the superstars going over the top rope.. then Cole signing it off.

I doubt he will be. WWE is really lacking people at the moment, especially Smackdown. Mysterio is poor, Undertaker's out, Edge is gone, Christian is a mid-carder which only leaves Del Rio who's been pushed too early anyway. Still don't see why the don't merge the rosters, so that its like it was pre 2002.

EDIT: Kane and Big Show are also decent on SD! but WM shows how much they're being wasted at the moment.

You guys just gotta get used to it. Era's end and new ones begin.

Last Era was about HBK, HHH, John Cena, Edge, Batista, Rey, Eddie etc.

New Era: John Cena, The Miz, Sin Cara, Del rio, CM punk, Randy Orton, Dolph Ziggler, Morrison etc.

We all hate to see our fav superstars go but nothing lasts forever and I dont see Cena sticking around when he is 40. Give it 10 years and we'll be sad to see The Miz retire :p:

You think when people like The Rock and Co leave there is noone to replace them and I think John Cena has done an excellent job in becoming the Icon of the WWE.

Then you have to look at the likes of Superstars that are still active that we either miss or you wish WWE had not released.

Kurt Angle for one was an amazing athlete and wrestler who could really give it all in a match and make it entertaining to watch.

Shelton Benjamin was stupidly talented and very exciting but typically never got a push or the time.

William Regal has had his spotlight but never a massive one, Great wrestler in my books and will still be around for a long time to train up and coming superstars

The Dudley boys and the old Hardy boyz. These guys made the WWE tag team division fun to watch but tag team wrestling in WWE has just vanished and is not worthy anymore.

WWE has an information sheet titled “The Language of WWE” that they send out to people that do international voice-overs for their TV shows in other countries. The sheet includes a list of “Incorrect Terminology” and a list of “Correct Terminology.” “The Language of WWE” reads like this:

So like I've said earlier I dont believe MNR or other WWE programming belong on Sky Sports and Should be on Sky1 or Sky Atlantic.

The name thing was one thing but I seriously don't like where this is going anymore.

People say nothing on screen will change but it is changing and has been for the past few years. We are seeing less and less action and more talking and kids entertainment.

After this years horrible WrestleMania I feel like WWE is really losing it or I am just outgrowing this kind of stuff. I'd love to just switch the channel and watch TNA but I'm hearing they are not having such a great time either.

I'm so tired of these 20 minute Promo's followed by 4 minutes of Action. Just give me one Raw with a whole bunch of matches and 5 minute promo's and that's me happy for a few weeks :p:

I was thinking maybe Tough Enough would suit me a bit more than Raw at the minute but I am unsure if Full length Episodes are Available from any source. (Will have a search but do PM me if you have info)

Also what are your views on ''the expected launch of a WWE television network within 2012 and 2013''

Vince claims he will keep Raw on USA for a very long time and with Smackdown sitting on 'MyNet' I'm unsure what kind of content he will have to put on this network. Here are some details we could expect

It should be a 'sport' in as much as the athletic ability of those taking part, the thing is where else would it go? Pro wrestling is such a niche industry it has trouble being pigeon-holed.

As for what it's become, WWE is limited to its PG rating. It's also trying to be more 'soap opera' with these promos although I appreciate the lack of backstage spots. In an ideal worl they'd have a third brand for more action-based shows, the problem is who'd watch it? ECW ran out of steam, NXT isn't going anywhere and the other shows are basically highlights of RAW and SM with a few jobber matches thrown in.

I've got no interest in TNA whatsoever, I don't like their product, booking, marketing, lots of things but if they had a major backer then I think now would be a great time to return to the Monday Night Wars.

Wont be anymore Wrestlemania's, they aren't a wrestling company and banned the word wrestle...

They'll promote it to broadcasters as WM and use a WM logo but say 'mania.

wwe will always be wrestling. Vince may not want us to call it wrestling no more but this is what wwe is.
Like he wants us to call them superstars but there wrestlers

Is this still to get away from the fees involved with running a sports company? Fits in with the Rock now 'being' the most electrifying man in all of entertainment unless his film career changed that line.
