£45 a week for TV is even more then when l was in hospital last time and to be frank its a total rip off and one that should get investigated.

Yes tablets , laptops and a bit of data are very useful for those hospital stays that's for sure.

Yep, I found my smartphone and pocket DAB radio invaluable when I was hospitalised earlier this year. Does anyone actually pay for the TV in these places I wonder. One of the best things was however the window next to my bed which let plenty of natural light and fresh air in. :)

Blimey. Next time I moan about my mum, tell me to shut up. After how low I got back at the end of August (I mean low), her and my stepdad are going to pay for me to have a short holiday in October. I'm only going to the South Coast but I am happy with that, last holiday I had was back in 2000!

Take Care Osem , I hope you get well soon, My Happy thought is we had a nice time visiting my sister and family in Tayport Fife, for the W/E, we do not see each very much over summer as she is always bowling, but now bowling is easing off, We all had a great time,

peanut I am so glad that this latest finding is presumably a lot more treatable than it could have been.

It never fails to impress me how positive many people on here are. I know we all have to cope with what life throws at us but some of you seem to have more thrown at them than seems fair.

My happiness is prompted by my being allowed out of bed. Not only up but I am allowed out. OK it's only to get to see my Consultant this afternoon but I have been soooooooo bored, I've even been driven to installing Windows 10, so any excuse to be able to stretch my legs is and feel the sun on my face is welcome. I really must get a life. :D

Yes, any positive news is welcome. My old man is waiting for the results of his biopsies and at this stage I'm sure he'd give his right arm for a similar result. Fingers crossed...

The last 4 weeks of limbo has been the hardest time going. Not knowing the type of tumour in which a slight difference can be all the difference in life and death hasn't been easy to cope with.

I now have an appointment to see a surgeon in a weeks time to see what they can and also to see if they could do my intestines at the same time (Addenbrooks). But there's the risk of kidney failure to cope with on top. Now I'm just taking it a day at the time now but relieved that it's not a secondary nor growing at such a rate.

My fingers are crossed for your dad too Osem. All the best to him and your family.
