And consoles too...

The likelihood is that if you have an Prime subscription you will have a smart tv and/or Fire Stick/Xbox or Playstation anyway...so not too much of an inconvenience if not on the V6.

Yes we have it on our PS4 as well.

People with Prime are hardly likely to lose out anyway , Prime Video is available on lots of devices already.

It's better for all your content to be on one box, muppetman, that is the attraction. Then you only have to search for a programme once and you can bookmark all the programmes on the Netflix and Amazon wishlists in 'My Shows'.

A lot of Smart TV's have the Prime video app.

With the Sony (Xperia) line up, they now have it bundled so you can't uninstall it.

Before that used to be the case with FB, but now you can subsequently remove that but not before they added in Prime. I rather that I suppose though I never use Amazon when I can avoid it due to their hiring of Jay Carney.

Since they have indeed added it onto most Smart TV's in the Sony line up, too. Though you may be able to remove it from there, I dunno.

But then that wasn't what you said , you said you didn't think people would miss out as you expected it to arrive in the V6.

I merely stated they won't as most already have access to Prime Video be it on their TV , Games Console or Streaming Device.

Viacom already own CH5, why not put all the good American shows and films on the terrestrial channel and remove all the crap?

Besides, this may not be a new channel as Paramount replaced Spike in the States, so we'll see what happens here.

Perhaps when/if CBS and Viacom are one company again, Ch5 may finally get renamed to CBS and then we won't have to go hunting around a dozen plus channels to find all the new American CBS shows anymore.

I am not arguing with you, muppetman, I'm just saying that the VM subscribers who do not have that equipment will not lose out.

You then seemed to suggest that it was not necessary to be concerned about whether it should be on the V6. I was just reminding you of the benefits of having all the streaming services on one box.

I agree, but they are older and 'softer' dramas in the main. I record from there from time to time but I am not interested in most of their output.

Today's output, for example, includes Casualty, Juliet Bravo, The Bill, Lovejoy, Last of the Summer Wine, Hi-de-Hi, Are you Being Served, London's Burning, Soldier, Soldier, Lovejoy, Judge John Deed, New Tricks, Birds of a Feather. So the programming itself is not bad, but most of it is old or the formats are looking rather tired these days. Worth keeping an eye on for the occasional goodie though, particularly at weekends.

Sounds like the perfect schedule to me OB (if you dropped 'Birds of a Feather,' and squeezed an 'All Creatures Great and Small' in ;) )

The BBC is still outputting the best original drama - quality, not quantity. e.g. the Jeremy Thorpe drama was best thing on TV by far this year.
