I currently have the best drainer I have ever owned. Coated metal no sign of rust after months and months. Base tray that drains onto the sink 2 levels really good and cost me £6 as a first time buyer from TikTok Shop of all places

They do go off, so I just run them on the steel occasionally.

The Santoku gets more use than all the others put together. TBH I'd be happy with just that one.

I used to have one of those (swapped it with a Russian border guard for a carton of cigarettes at the Helmstedt–Marienborn border crossing) - lasted about 15 years before it became too decrepit to wear.

Bought a Sony Minidsc recorder walkman off Ebay. Been getting back in to using my old one but it's just a player so couldn't record new discs. Also came with 14 blank discs. The MZ-R900 in blue complete in box with all original accessories.

Amazing how popular MD is still. Some players and hifi systems cost a fortune now.

2 bags of sprouts for us. :D And they are a decent size this year. I'm glad I got all the veg at Lidl 'cos Aldi had sold out. The Lidl spuds, broccoli and shallots were at 8p too. The caulis were tiny everywhere

I bought some nice milk chocolate to add to the festive hot chocolate drink we have with Stollen. That's a habit I learned during my time in Maastricht.

That cost seems pretty extreme. I had an email last week off Muscle Food offering me a Norfolk Bronze for a tenner. I was dubious but it actually looks really good quality. Proper plump
breasts unlike the Asda one that will be cut and frozen and used to maintain my weight in the new year

Blink doorbell camera, I chose that one as it came with an Echo Pop which would have been about £40 altogether but for some reason, Amazon are letting me pay for it at £4 a month which is odd, I don't recall applying for credit. Still, been playing with it last night and this morning and works like a charm.

Sonos Sub Mini

Paired this with my two One SL's so a stereo pair and the sub Mini.

Really impressed so far. It allows the OneSL speakers to focus on the mid and treble.
The sub, even in it's small size has a good punch to it, does not over power the sound but gives that bit of more wholesome bass and expands the sound round the room.

Re: What have you just bought?

Back again about my Apple Watch 10. To quote Port Talbot parlance, I f***ing loves it mun!

I was always happy with my series 7 for about 3 years. Was always a pain in the arse being the GPS version only but my 10 is cellular too which works really well. The screen is nicely bigger and much more vivid.

This time last year I toyed with a Samsung s23 Ultra and a Galaxy watch 5 but the watch was buggy as hell. I use my Apple Watch to pay for things contactless but the galaxy watch would only do it about 6 times out of 10. The fact the Apple Watch did it each time was the deal breaker.

So yeah, well happy with my series 10.

A pair of rear surround speakers to go with the soundbar/subwoofer I bought last month. I’ve been so impressed with the rig I’m now regretting not splashing out a bit more to get the set that included the rear speakers. But to be honest, Missus needed some time to get used to the idea of speakers all over the place, and now she is, she (hopefully) won’t notice a couple of little extra ones. :D

One of the reasons they’re so cheap is they don’t cross-subsidise a delivery service. The likes of Asda and Tesco can’t really get your groceries to you for £2.50. The slightly higher price of the groceries themselves makes up the difference.

Don’t you hate it when that happens?

You’re minding your own business, walking down a busy High Street/mall/shopping centre, it starts raining so you pop into the nearest shop to keep dry, trip over the entrance mat on the way in, and a watch gets lodged onto your wrist - no amount of liquid soap will dislodge it, and to save further embarrassment/the police being called, you agree to pay for it.

or something along those lines…
