We bought two English players thus so far this summer while your club has got rid of the English players you did have apart from Milner and one suspects his time will be up soon as well.:)

City did get Lampard....Although I think the reason they didn't get English players is the lack of decent ones.

But they did have a good youth scheme but sadly they never made full use of it once the billions came to their club.

Average players do not a good player make :)

The issue isn't the foreign players, but forcing clubs to use them. If there wasn't that in place, players would go to clubs to get playing time, until they improve. Now they go as soon as they show any inkling of talent, too soon in my opinion, and thus their price is inflated.

Judging by reports and Wengers own comments it doesn't look like Arsene Wenger will sign two players to cover DM & CB roles. He's after a versatile player. Can Howedes play as a DM ?

Arsenal cannot afford to rely on Arteta, Flamini and Chambers as a last resort but they also cannot afford to throw crazy money for William Carvalho. William Carvalho would tie up the transfer window for Arsenal. Theres talk of Pod going but that most probably depends on Reus. Is it too much to ask for both William Carvalho & Marco Reus :angel:
