1. not for the box, no. you would be contracted for the tv service, so upgrading is not a problem in contract.

2. VM XL TV customers are the first to get TiVo, so yes.

DPA has to be taken seriously, you could have been anyone trying to upgrade your account.

This is correct.

Brilliant.. Thanks for that....

I understand about 'DPA' , but I just wanted to ask the questions that you have just answered here... I understood I wouldn't be able to upgrade without password, but when I tried to explain, I was told she could not answer any questions without a password...

Anyway, It looks like I will be making another phone call to upgrade :), This time with my password at the ready :D

I think generally, there was a failure to communicate... It was like I was talking to a machine...

Although I have little interest until the third tuner is available, would it be worthwhile 'registering my interest' now so a box may be available at launch?

As they have stated that existing customers and those that have registered interest would be amongst the first, it would be perhaps prudent to do so, yes.

Wow Wow Wow is how I'd describe the Series 1 TiVo I used to own and the VM TiVo will be ten times better. I'm going to be on cloud 9 for a very long time once I get mine.

It's going to be so good to be able to say "I TiVo'd this or that" again. Bring it on :)

Would that be the Series 1 TiVo with just the one analogue SD tuner? And you still loved it? ;)

Someone on the VM forum posted a link with details about how you can get subtitles on iPlayer with Tivo.

You can also use the dedicated ‘Subtitles’ button on your remote control to turn subtitles on and off where they’re available.

Yes that is what I meant. Sorry about that, I was trying to shorten the link. The search returned 60 articles so plenty of information to read through

I have done that myself and people then ask where is it and with it being TiVo many people will read through it anyway.:)
