Well I was.. there's no way I'm staying on VIP and having a TIVO.

Will have to wait and see I guess

I'm just annoyed that I was tied into a new 12 Month contract by taking the HD channels for 6 months and was told the new VIP prices will definately not be going up when they revised them in 6 months!!

You can get out of contract, for price increases on the affected service.

You may cancel those services affected without penalty by giving Virgin Media Ltd and/or Virgin Media Entertainment (as applicable) at least 30 days' notice in writing. If you were not notified of these changes in advance, you must give notice of cancellation of the services affected to Virgin Media Ltd and/or Virgin Media Entertainment (as applicable) within 30 days of receipt of your first bill following such increase in charges."

Well, I am sorry after 12 years I shall be leaving VM if my VIP50 goes up to £109 as reported. If you can cancel without penalty - I'll stick with the BB and sack the rest.

Sad days. :(

That's what I'll be doing. Keep the BB and Phone and have a look at SKY HD. It comes up cheaper doing it this way than staying on VIP!!

Yes they do, but I suspect not by over 10%

..and we're back to the "Vip is no longer value for money" that we was talking about 6 months ago!!

I'm not watching TV enough to justify spending £109 a month, but we do use the internet a lot and my GF uses the phone. The few channels we watch are only on XL (Comedy Central HD, Cartoon Network, and Sky Movies HD), but to save about £50 a month I'll happily give them up. We watch more DVD's and Blu Rays these days anyways, so won't really miss them.

they might try it on now that they see VM have though ;) Thinking about it it would be a good strategy by SKY to freeze their prices to entice disgruntled VM users.

I was thinking the same. SKY will see this and obviously freeze there prices...

They'll probably make a big announcement too like........ "Our prices have frozen, unlike Virgin Media"

Also, what better time for SKY to drop the HD charge !! :D
