Tough decision tonight, do I watch United v Benfica or Newcastle v Reading, god forbid that I would be stupid enough to watch the Arsenal v Porto match, how sad would anyone have to be to watch that foregone pile of dross.:(

How come Trevor Hemmings owns two clubs ?

It's football gone mad IMO

Evening Standard

It looks like the prospective new Liverpool FC owner could enter the top ten too.

Who does he think he is - Rooney? It should be illegal for a team other than Man United to score like that anyway.

On a lighter note....9 point clear of Chelsea and top of the prem...hmm, I wonder how long it's been since another team could say that?

Nice to see United build up a nine point lead at the top of the table, City did make it hard for them though.

I have to say City's Georgios Samaras was impressive.

Chelsea have to catch up, which makes a change from the last couple of seasons, but they have strength in depth all around the park, where United lack strength up front. Like has been said previously, if Saha gets injured, who takes his place.
Hopefully Fergie will be in the hunt for a replacement come January. I can't see Smith being up to par in a few weeks time.

Rumours have gone quiet on the Old Trafford front regarding possible transfers, maybe because it might prevent Peter Kenyon PLC from putting in a higher counter bid whether Chelsea want whoever it might be or not :)

There might be another reason for that though ;)

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson insists that the three-month loan deal for Henrik Larsson from Helsingborg will be his only business in the January transfer window. (Mail on Sunday)

Nice one Arsenal, nothing like having the gooners doing all the hard work for you :D

I don't know what sounds better, eight points clear of Chelsea or 18 (yes, 18) ahead of Arsenal :spin:

Of course another way to look at it is, they are a young team that's learning where as yours is an old team that's fading, if this team don't do it this year then they probably never will

Anyway why has nobody started an anyone but Chelsea thead? :D

Well I can handle being a fading team and 8 points clear at the top of the premiership :D

Weren't we described as 'fading' back in 2002 as well?

Hardly in their prime are they, at this rate you'll be wanting Sheringham back on loan as well

I agree, Rooney and Ronaldo have yet to hit their peak. Of the regular squad, 4 are over 30, which means the remaining 7 erm..aren't.
