Now that Discovery+ and HBO are to merge streaming services, how will this be affected by the HBO deal with Sky (It runs until 2025 IIRC)?

I don't think HBO is launching in the UK just yet due to the Sky deal, but after 2025, things may change.

I'm on 6 months free with Vodafone atm, but i do have access to HBOMAX thanks to a friend in the US too.

I suspect the reason they’ve not done this before is that they’ve taken their time devising a way of determining who’s using their multiple logins legitimately and who’s sharing them round their mates. If they’re ready for public trials in small markets it’ll go global soon enough.

How do they know it’s not the account holder using his Netflix at a friends house ?
