I'm impressed someone was watching those niche channels at that niche viewing time!

There was some wording in the press which suggested otherwise, which is probably what Richard saw too. I thought it unlikely, but it was strangely phrased.

Yeah some press really need to word things better.

Don't be too impressed, I recorded all 3 whilst I was tucked up in bed :D .

I'm showing my age again, I have a soft spot for MTV. When Sky (Astra) launched in 1989 MTV was all us kids watched. Great memories of what once was a great channel. I tend to stick to MTV Classic and Now 80's now-a-days to have on in the background .;)

There was some effort from MTV UK with the closure of the 3 channels, with 'Goodbye' themed shows.

Thanks. I was expecting something to happen with it. I was 50/50 between closure and it moving to the recently vacated Sony Crime Channel slot so it would be closer to the main Sony Channel.

I wonder if Sony will "pocket the savings" (i.e. this was simply a cost cutting move) or use the stream to launch Pop Max or one of the two Sony Movie +1s that aren't currently on VM?

No idea what will happen to slot no new channels are testing on DBR right now.

But JJ20X may know more via his scanners.

Next Season PL and EPL will start on September 12th. So still time for Sky UHD to appear before the new season starts.
