NBC sets out major overhaul of UK channels
NBC Universal is planning a major UK shake-up that could see most of the channels it acquired from Sparrowhawk Media disappear. Sources told Broadcast that NBC is keen to bring its UK channels into line with those in other territories. It is considering rebranding Movies 24 to Universal Channel and also starting up ''Oxygen'' in the UK, which would mean Diva TV could either be absorbed or marginalised. http://www.broadcastnow.co.uk/news/m..._channels.html ---------- Post added at 14:21 ---------- Previous post was at 12:45 ---------- Nialli has posted the following on his Blog: Quote:

Virgin testing out 7 new Channels off their EPG - update.
An Ex-C&W viewer has told me that Virgin Media has stop testing ''VMTest1'', ''VMTest2'', ''VMTest4'', ''VMTest5'', ''VMTest6'' and ''VMTest7''. And they all been removed from their Virgin Media box. |
Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
VMTest channels are still broadcasting in ex-NTL (cambridge)

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)

Here is the info I got at this time from the Broadcasters: A&E Television Networks has told me in an email that they are in talks with Virgin about Military History joining. No news on if Crime & Investigation Network +1 will also come. I think the ABC Television Group deal is up this year so we may get Disney Cinemagic + 1 & Playhouse Disney +. The BBC has told me that an deal has been sign for BBC Alba to launch on Virgin. But they are do not have an launch date and Channel number from Virgin yet. ESPN Classic may appear with the ABC deal. UKTV has told me that Eden + 1 and Yesterday + 1 will launch on Virgin ''Later in the year.'' |
Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2009)
