What a fantastic header from Ronaldo, the Vidic injury looks bad though, possibly a cruciate ligament.:(

Thats what i thought at first about Vidic but he seemed to want to play on so i'm hoping it isn't that bad. What a performance from Ferdinand in his absence though, he's been immense :tu:

I still say, playing semi-finals at wembley is wrong. :td:

I wonder how many members of the FA have slightly more bulging pockets because of it. ;)

It's funny to see how little interest there is in the corporate section for todays game.

Why? Neutral ground, good opportunity of fans to get tickets because of the large stadium, great atmosphere for the players.

Yes, but the fans sections are packed. Despite some predictions that it would only be a few fans on either side turning up.

It should be Old Trafford and Villa Park imo. Wembley should be just for the final, to make going to wembley special and a privelage only the finalists get.

Plenty of neutral grounds out there. Look at the average gates of Portsmouth and West Brom over the course of the season. There are enough grounds big enough the cater for such a crowd. Why bend over backwards for the "fairweather" supporters? Atmospheres are much better at league grounds anyway, I've been to Wembley enough times over the years to clarify this. Much much better at Villa park, Maine road (as it was then). Semi-finals are played at Wembley for one reason, and one reason only.........MONEY!

Awful game. At the very least Middlesborough should have jobbed to us to ensure the title stays in the north.

I hate being right. At least we got the draw and are still 3 points +goal difference ahead. I hope Ferdinands injury isn't a serious one.

Don't know what studs United had in but several of their players were slipping & sliding throughout the game, VDS saved them big time today.

Jim.
